Cubs bullpen really hasn't worked a bit. I'm thinking max joe let's Hendricks go is 7. Only Edwards Smith and Wood have pitched the past 2 games.

With Soler back dog days of August and 10 game lead

Guessing we see more guys getting rest and pretty much a different lineup everyday now..

Also probably see less of Contreras in LF and more of him catching Lackey Hendricks and Hammel to get him in LU

I think he's already Hendrick's caddy...maybe Hammel as well.

Yea.. Back to back shutout so far with Hendricks

I was just figuring that with Soler back and Szczur also being RH and needing occasional starts/Abs..
Contreras days in LF probably over or very limited now and will get his starts catching those 3..

Montero with Arrieta and tough RHers
Ross with Lester and enjoying the ride before retiring

Another fool behind the plate...easily sucked in by pitch framing.

Sometimes I wonder if some of these umps close their eyes til they hear ball hit glove then look to see where glove is..

I mean it crazy sometimes, where if their actually watching the ball all the way in, you can see it off the plate

I wonder if they ever look at game film. These catchers are making them look like idiots when they go through their "ring em up" act on a pitch that's 6 inches wide. If they don't....MLB sure should be.

Anyone else besides me think Rondon just looks more relaxed pitching as setup..
He just looks more comfortable out there now

This catcher whole arm moves over from pulling the ball in from off the plate

This weekend had the Cards playing at home vs a bad team....Cubs on the road vs a bad team.

Cubs add two games to their lead....gotta love it.

If the cubs play .500 ball the rest of the way, they still win the division so long as the cards go 36-15(.705) or worse

Cubs were 23 games over .500 at this point in 2008. They were 22 games over .500 at this point last year.
