Im not sure I want to let the team off the hook imo but maybe a reason Maddon doesn't get tossed there.

Their also getting pitches to hit and just not coming through ..
They do this a lot
This up and down offense is going to get schooled in the playoffs against better pitching...

They did crap in all 3 games against Brewers SP..
And all but 1 inning against their pen
Way to get up for this series...

It definitely sucked the way it went down but I figured on 1 of 3 when the series started. Now though they have to take 2 of 3 in St. Louis against better starting pitching. Tough task. The bats need to find themselves.

Chatwood is just not very good (which we all know)
Monty can be that guy right now while we wait for Darv
the pen is legit...
this series says nothing about what the future holds and rarely does

The offense is frustrating but how bad is the rest of the NL with the Cubs and Brewers sitting on top of it all

Why i keep saying that 5 run per average means nothing with this team..
They score a bunch in 2-3 games and shit the bricks for a week and it can average out to 5 runs..
They have a hit or miss lineup which can get them through a 162 game season in a half ass division but it wont work in the playoffs against the better teams and pitching...

I wonder how they fair against pitchers that don't throw much off speed stuff. They have to be near the bottom of the league at swinging and missing change ups.

Just exactly how do you know this? If the playoffs started tomorrow, it would have a bit of merit but you are wringing your hands about things that are nearly 3 months away. Things change in baseball, sometimes daily. It's annoying now sure, but doesn't have one damn thing to do with how a team will be playing in September and October.

You struggle with inconsistencies in the regular season it going to show in the playoffs against better pitching and teams...
They had inconsistencies in 2017 and their having it so far this year...

Proves absolutely nothing. The past will never predicate the future....the team that is playing their best baseball when the post season starts usually does well. It's why teams that barely get in via the WC can and have won it all. Going with your line of thought, the season is already over. If you are so certain that this will take place....why do you waste your time watching every damn game they play?
