Don't forget LaTroy Hawkins

That kind of ineptness is hard to bury....he fits in nicely with Dave Smith and Milton Bradley.

Tyler Wildwood might be in the midst of making his move to join them.....

Interesting read

For some reason, the Cubs thought they needed to try and cheat in the bottom of the eleventh. Cain fouled off a two strike pitch, about a foot in front of Contreras, that Willson caught on the bounce. He held it up, claiming to have caught a foul tip. The home plate ump rang up Cain, but after Counsell asked him to talk to the rest of his crew, they over-ruled the call and brought Cain back up. Joe Maddon was incensed that their cheating wasn’t rewarded, and somehow managed to avoid getting tossed. Isn’t that arguing balls and strikes?

No, he was arguing a play that was over turned. He didnt tell the ump he thought the ball was a strike. Also, this sounds like a 12 year old pissy over a lost. Try to cheat? Lol He tried to sell a play just like the majority of players used to do all the time. The only problem is instant replay has stopped the he was around the base calls.

No he was arguing an overturned call not balls n strikes...

What he was probably trying to accomplish was looking for a cheap out to avoid going to the pen again if Bass ran into trouble....

This guy got absolutely nothing going for him on the mound....

There no reason to keep trotting him out there every 5th day...

Sometimes you just gotta bite the bullet for the good of the team...

I'd love to see them waive him and hope a team claims him but if not and he clears just send him to Iowa and let him figure it out there..

Wouldn't be a problem in the NFL. MLB? That's a whole lot of money to eat. Too bad they didn't have enough confidence in Monty. They could've rode him and hoped Smyly would work out down the line. But no one can see the future, they thought they could fix this guy...looks like they thought wrong.

He clears waivers and ends up in Iowa, at least there they can work with him and bring him up later in year with hope that he better...
