Was looking for tgat thread about who get to .250 first
Castro or Russell

Castro wins

That is funny. I saw that yesterday. I was thinking it is win/win with Russell at 13 HR now. I believe he is good for 20 per year with plus D. Atill Castro .280 OBA vs Russell: .302 Think Russell has the edge. HR Castro 7 Russell 13. Add to it Russell is only 21 vs Castro in his prime. Then D. Russell is a far better SS. Not even close.

Castro has been great with the bat for over a month. The closer to the plate adjustment has brought him back

Well...."great" relatively speaking. But better.

he if can keep doing that Cubs can go far in playoffs IMO

I'm much less concerned with our bats and much more concerned with out pitching. Arrieta and Lester are the only 2 I have confidence in. Our line up is loaded. Not to say we'll be scoring in the playoffs like we're scoring now, but I have a lot more faith in the bats than the arms

Obviously this is looking into the very far future, but can Rizzo get to 500 HR's?

Baez is going to be something special

I'd have to see more(he's only had 21 PAs) but he's been better than I expected. As I said before he was called up though, I'd be as happy as anyone if I'm wrong. He's done most of his damage in 2 games(tonight and one other multi hit game). On the other hand, he's simply not striking out as much(14.3%). The league could still catch back up to him but despite my overall negative opinion on Baez my comments were always that I thought he'd need to be under a 25% k rate to be super successful. I wasn't convinced he'd do that. Thus far he clearly has. So, good for him and good for the cubs.

No...
He got about 12 good yrs left, he would need to avg. 35-40 HRs.

Although he got good power, i dont see him being a 35 - 40 per guy.. i think he a 30 + at best..

500 no 400 definitely. .

I hear that. So when he breaks Bonds' record, I'll just hit you with a #calledit
