Kudos to John Lackey who was lambasted here many times including calls for early retirement or being DFA'd. Should the Cubs hang on here tonight....since the 4th of July...in games Lackey started...the Cubs will have gone 12-2. Pretty damn kickass no matter where you are in the rotation.

Yeah, well I think it was just a matter of time for him. I never thought he had the stuff to be doing what he was doing early on. I thought Joe used him well, but if you pitch long enough....eventually you become who you really are.
