Soler was about a foot away of catching that one. lol He doesn't track balls well. That ball was scorched and the hit isn't on Soler at all but I think he really thought he was going to catch that where he jumped.

He took bad routes last night. The Cubs thought he was going to be a plus defensive fielder. Yea, they got fooled on that one. lol

Think a lot of scouts did too which is weird. He does have a cannon though so there's that. Wonder if the lack of actual playing time in the minors just cost him some development in that regard.

The only thing challenging about it was being against the wall, but he had plenty of time to get under it. Wasn't what I'd call a "high-stress" catch.
