Man of all the players the cubs have signed this offseason thus far Fowler has definitely been the most productive.

Big time lucky Schwarber only has a sprain ankle. I would guess it is severe which will knock him out for awhile, but that could have been a broken ankle or an ACL tear the way fowler hit him.

MRI could reveal more but yeah. Also, sprains can last longer than you'd think but that's what's nice about the depth they've built.

Is Soler limited by some sort of injury? Normally I'd expect him over Schwarber in LF when there was a DH but Soler DH'd both games. Then Maddon sat Schwarber to play Szczur in LF which he's probably a better defender so I kinda get that. Then tonight Schwarber goes down and they bring in La Stella and move Bryant and later bring in Szczur again. Just strikes me as odd.

Damn this lineup is scary. It would have been so easy for this team to pack this game in after the first inning. Instead they've dropped 14 after losing Schwarber and are still hammering away.

There's only been 10 teams post 1930 in the NL to score 900 and 5 of them are pre-humador Rockies teams. Other than them, you're looking at the 1953 Dodgers, 2000 Astros and Giants, 1999 Diamondbacks, and the 2003 Braves. Though I could see the cubs scoring 900 runs.

I did a shot and made a prayer for Kyle tonight that the MRI comes through clean. Great to hear it's only the ankle, but concerned with the MRI. ray:
