If there was one place to get an injury a LF is the best. Szczur has started off hot. Soler is obviously a quality talent. Bryant played LF last night. As mentioned in theory Zobrist can play there. In some ways it helps a guy like Soler get the playing time he probably needs. So, I'm glad it's that vs say Russell getting hurt. With Baez out they are particularly thin on the infield.
I agree that of all the Cubs starters, Schwarber is the most replaceable, but still...I would hate to have it be a season-ending injury. Let's hope it's just a bad knee sprain and he's only out 8-12 weeks. I worry about what major ligament damage could do to a player who doesn't have a ton of mobility to begin with.
