Strike one at the shoetops.
I have liked Almora since he came up, and kept wanting to see him get more playing time, expecting the bat would be good enough. Some just god awful hitting sans Russell in that inning.
Against MadBum.Been fun. Get em tomorrow
Well if this game doesn’t step up the urgency to get aBeen fun. Get em tomorrow
Of course Almora takes two outside pitches to get 1-1 and then massively expands the zone to go 1-2.
It's weird everyone is like "first time Strop is had issues in Chicago"...does anyone remember the 2016 end of the year where Strop basically became a mop-up?
Well if this game doesn’t step up the urgency to get a
Trade or 2 done i don’t know what game will... maybe the 8th game of this road trip when they are sitting at 1-6 with 4 losses squarely on the pen and the other 2 via shit offense. Mad Bum tomorrow will be frustrating since he’s been pitching really good lately and the cubs don’t hit lefties. Cards just 1 back in the loss column and they are actually beating teams on the road that they should
Well people don’t usually complain after a win dip shit but this team can’t win on the road and Strop (aka Nope) has blown 3 leads in the 8th inning since the Friday after the all star break, 10 days ago. Maddon deserves the same amount of blame for continuing to have Strop set up...kintzler or cishek need to have the 8th until they get them a true late inning, hard throwing set up man that can miss bats in high leverage situationsSTFO guy who only complains about the team after a loss.
Against MadBum.
We started 7-1 after the break, and yet teams like StL and SF have records almost as good as we do. Unreal.
Need a boost.

Yeah I don’t have Chicago’s WGN down here in Tennessee. WGN doesn’t show cubs games anymore here like they use to in the 90’s and early 2000’s when you could watch 120You and your "analysis" of the "future" of the team is exclusively after team losses. You probably didn't even watch the game tonight, followed it from your home, saw the score, and now are posting here.
If the team always sucks and is going to lose, you offer no insight.
Cubs were ahead by 2 runs in the 8th inning over an obviously inferior team. And they lost. Make all the excuses you want. This does not bode well. Simple hiccup? Maybe. But it seems to me the Cubs need to take advantage of the bottom tier of teams. Is that happening?
