Happ definately didnt carry over his ST hot hitting to Miami..
Wouldnt surprise me to see him out of the lineup for a couple games now..

They face LHers 2 of next 3 games, probably see Almora getting the nod in all 3

I'm not going to overreact to 3 games but I'm wondering if Maddon ends up in the same situation with Happ that happened to Schwarber. That is to say a talented young hitter who struggles by trying to do too much in an important role on the team. Given the way Zobrist has looked, wouldn't mind seeing them swap Happ down in the line up and use Zobrist vs RHP leading off and Almora vs LHP. Not sure how that would change other guys playing time however. Would seem Baez would draw the short stick since Schwarber has hit really well vs RHP. His bad game yesterday was vs a LHP.

Id like to see what Almora does there first, hopefully these next 3 games , 2 against lefties...

Maybe this could be Almora chance to take CF ..

Cubs leaving guys on base all night has allowed the Marlins to stay in this game..
Cubs should have 10 runs up there

This game goes extra, pitching going to be shot ...

I was hoping for 4 easy games this weekend , their close to dropping 2 of first 3

At the rate he is regaining the weight he will be able to hit the ball a mile. Of course, that will turn him into a mega butcher in LF

Lost 20 lbs and put back what, two?

No way he weighs the same as last year.

So the bullpen has given up 2 runs in 22 IP with 11 bb 17k 13 hits. Walk/K rate are a little lower than you'd like to see but given the've thrown 22 IP in 3 games 1.09 WHIP is very nice and the 2 earned runs is stellar for what we assumed would be one of the shakier parts of the team.

Not sure if you count Butler. That was a late start.

The SP is another story. Hendricks is a ace in general. Other two got wrecked and set the game tones.

I believe each game was dictated by the SP. the pen in general has held up. Wilson rebounding should end up being the biggest deal. We never got to see him 100%. And honestly he maybe a better closer than Morrow when it shakes out.

I looked at his baserunning. No way he gained it back.

Schwarber laced a 115.7-mph line drive into the right-field corner off former Cubs pitcher Jacob Turner that would have ranked as his second-hardest-hit ball of 2017. The trimmed-down outfielder then reached second base in 8.23 seconds -- his fastest home-to-second time since Statcast™ began recording that data. Schwarber rounded the bag hard with designs on a triple, but third-base coach Brian Butterfield held him up with an easy double since there were no outs in a 5-5 game.

Look at the videos posted on him 6 weeks ago. His waist was inside his belt. Now his waist is slightly hanging over his belt
