An example of why i wasnt ok with Morrow being the closer...

He not durable and will be handled with care, so he wont be doing many back to back games or going more then 3 outs...

Also, not sure who Maddon would of used to pinch hit, no one left and he would of also burnt out Strop if he had to bring him in..

Don’t blame the loss on this. They lost because th O went to bed at 10

I predicted this one right too..
Zobrist starts again, Baez sits

Ian Happ, CF
Kris Bryant, 3B
Anthony Rizzo, 1B
Willson Contreras, C
Kyle Schwarber, LF
Addison Russell, SS
Ben Zobrist, 2B
Jason Heyward, RF
Yu Darvish, P

Like seeing Heyward in 8th spot, he more likely to lay off bad pitches when their pitching around him to get to pitcher...

so far I have not seen much opposite field stuff from the hitters that need to get away from these shifts.

Baez swinging out of his shoes still.

I thought Chili Davis was supposed to be fixing this?

Maybe you haven't seen much of it because we're two games into the season.

God I love early-season baseball takes.

The lineup was publicly announced two hours before your post. Don't break your arm patting yourself on the back, Nostradamus...

I'm pretty sure that the original game plan was Happ in LF and Zobrist in RF vs Left. Happ in CF Zobrist at 2B vs Right with La Stella taking some of the load off of Zobrist.

Now that is in a glass tube. Production should push the needle for anyone adding AB's vs their weak side.

But we have seen Baez sit/Almora sit/Happ sit/Heyward sit so far. Schwarber everyday was a little bit of a shock. Maybe Maddon wanted him out there the day after his D misques to get his mind right. Not sure honestly.

That the thing, their only in game 3 ...
Maddon already moving pieces around , how anyone suppose to get any rhythm going?

Im probably the minority but id prefer seeing Happ Almora Baez and Schwarber playing everyday now and seeing where their at over getting Zobrist his ABs early and often...

If anyone is struggling after a few games, then get Zobrist in there to get them reset and see if they can bounce back..

Heyward's bat is still a weakness of this team, yesterday bases loaded 1 out DP and today 1 out man on 3rd K, now go prove me wrong and hit a couple extra bases in this game

Two things on Schwarber: nice HR tonight and he has put back on all that weight he lost in the off season

Great! Put all his weight into his swing and watch the ball fly!

At the rate he is regaining the weight he will be able to hit the ball a mile. Of course, that will turn him into a mega butcher in LF
