I dont know about 3000, 2500 is reachable..

Over 8 years he has avg 160. now at 1281 (minus today) 28 now. Say he avg's 150 per for 10 years (1500) looking at 2,781 and that mabe on the short side for him. He should end up with in reach but it really depends on how he ages.

I still don't see a case for HoF honestly. If he had another plus tool like a glove then it would make a good case. Just by hits alone it really doesn't hold weight.

Well, Cubs are still striking out way too much. 18 K's against a depleted baseball team is really sad.

He gotta stay healthy , especially when he gets in the 30s..
I was looking at 8 more good years for him.

Last 4 yrs he got over 150 twice

Bases loaded, 1 out... How the **** you dont lay down a bunt in that situation.... Especially with Hayward up, double play king. Just stupid...

Would have been 3 if his season wasn't cut last year. He was hitting .300. You add the 100 AB's he lost and 30 potential hits he would have been looking like his 2013 season.

But for sure he is not HoF. He has 1 plus tool. That doesn't get any love outside of HR's.

I will take the "glass is 3/4 full" approach.

The bullpen had thrown 14+ innings of shutout ball. That bodes well - even if it was against a poor offensive team.

No need to get too positive or negative. Schwarber made zero errors!
