That's dumb.

It's the way he rolls. There is never a set lineup much to the chagrin of the baseball geniuses....the fact is that he's averaging just under 100 wins a year here in Chicago. The one thing no one can argue, is success.

Get T-Mobile. You get MLB-TV all season for free. I've had T-Mobile for years and it's relatively problem free and cheaper than Verizon. My son has Verizon and he sees very little difference between the two.

He had better success the year he had 1 leadoff hitter...a switch hitting CF. Shocking I know.

I went ahead and shelled out $89 for the one team out-of-market mlbtv deal. Realistically I may only watch a dozen games all season but ultimately it's worth it not to have to scramble around.

Also I'm sort of locked in to Verizon for good or ill.

Yeah, but that's another subject. One I was never pleased with. Fowler...given his age, his fit with the team and what he provided overall should never have been allowed to walk. Don't get me wrong, Happ could work out but the thing is....it should have never come to trying make an infielder an outfielder or playing a guy like Schwarber at the top. They had the right guy and let him go. But, as they say...hindsight is 20/20.

Well, my son is much like you. He's a Verizon guy till death. I didn't get T-Mobile for the deal, I just happened to have it and took advantage.

I always look at it as let's win one series at a time. If you keep winning each series, the record will add up. So give me at least 3 wins.

Calm ya tits

Happ is a 2B/CF. Up the middle guys shouldn't have any prpblem playing OF. But to your point, I agree. Epstein's strength is organization and drafting. He did make a few FA signings in Boston that were questionable. There is no doubt that Heyward was a poor signing. Letting go of "you go, we go" didn't make a lot of sense.

Heyward was a reaction to Soler’s struggles. Heyward was not in the original game plan. If anything Soler’s shitty play in RF and on going injury drama left Theo little choice. After 2015’s 97 victories it mandated a set of roster moves. They needed a legit RF and Soler proved that he was the short side of a platoon. Eloy was in A ball so you really did not have a in-house option. Looking at Jason at the time he was valued at the deal. If anything this 2 year slump was unexpected from him.

Now Fowler was going to get paid. He took a 1 year flip and got a ring. Then he took the cash because Theo was stuck with other payroll commitments. They opened 2017 at 171 mil and added on to end up at 183 mil. The biggest need was stabilizing a leaky back of the rotation.

Over all they have done very well I believe over the 2 year span. They added Q. Then stablized the pen and rotation. If all we are quibbling about is Heyward I think we are doing fine.

Not saying Schwarber could have caught that guy at the plate, but 3rd base coaches are gonna be sending runners home all season until he shows he can make an accurate throw.

Good luck trading him.

Happens more often then not..

Guy gets a couple hits with no one on in front of him and then the first time there a baserunner for him, he makes an out..

Get so tiresome watching these guys try and pull every pitch no matter how far outside they are and how big of a hole they get with that shift...
