Not about being frustrated...
Just want your team to win
Yea their not gonna win them all but it just sucks to lose against bad teams, and or lose because they give up a run(s) late or cant get a big hit..
I want or hope this season for the Cubs can be like the year the bulls won 72 games and capped it off with a Championship...
I just want this season to be extra special for them and for us fans who have gone through many many losing seasons and waited for a season like this is so far and can hopefully be in the end with a Championship.

This is the best team in baseball and it isn't even close. This is the best team, to this point, in 15 years and it isn't close. In watching baseball for as long as I have I know that great teams sometimes lose to inferior ones. Statistically not a lot, but they do. Sometimes it's just a mental let down, other times it's just the vagaries of the game. I want this team to win every night but I'm just not going to get all angsty when they don't. I heard Ron Coomer interviewed last week and he mentioned he had listened to a sports radio show after a loss and he was unprepared for the level of anger for a team playing .700 ball. On one hand he was glad people were passionate but on the other he lamented that if fans were going to get up and down like that "it's going to be a long season for them" and he noted how sad that was when seasons like this one don't come along very often. I'm far less concerned about a Tuesday loss to the Phillies as I was excited about sweeps of Pittsburgh and Washington and taking 2 of 3 from St. Louis not only when the Cubs weren't playing that well but when St. Louis looked like they were getting their mojo back. I think they got to 5 games back and a couple of weeks later they're 10.5 out.
We all talk about improvements that can be made and that's great. Certainly a lefty pen arm, maybe righty pen arm and a tweak here or there will help but this is a team that's 40-17 and is actually underachieving based on Pythagorean record and a look at some of the slash lines. I'm not in any way saying don't get pissed off at a loss, by all means do so, but come back to earth pretty quickly and realize what you've been watching is unreal. You when you live and die for the outcomes of games? The playoffs, and those could be very different from the regular season simply because in MLB you can actually predict nothing in October. Let's save up the angst for then.
****this is a great piece by the way putting in anecdotal and statistical perspective what we are watching
