Congrats to the Cubs
But
Watching the celebration after today game won't feel the same as them doing right after winning and clinching. .
Just won't have the same vibes and excitement ...

Feel like watching a rerun of a classic game that you know how it plays out and ends..

He's still half a win ahead of Seager, so it's still not close. He hasn't hurt anything.

It's more than just WAR. It's value as well. Don't think anyone would argue that Seager hasn't been more valuable than Bryant.

WAR plays into it for sure and Arenado isn't close, plus he's not on a playoff team. While you can win it on a losing team your performance has to be extraordinary. It's Bryant or Seager for sure and Bryant has the edge plus it's rare to win RoY and MVP. Bryant would have to slump for most of the rest of the year to lose.

I agree, but I would not count out Rizzo by any means.

Yeah its kinda anti-climatic. Winning last night would have been much sweeter. But the Cubs deserve to celebrate this year. So what if they already have the division locked up?

man, those curve balls that closer was throwing looked like batting practice pitches that end up on the rooftops with Soler and at least hit hard by contrares. Two strikes boys, its too close to take.

I am pretty sure when JD said Coghlan, Sczcur, missstella, kawasaki were playing today, it was because they planned on the win. Brewers playing the spoiler role nicely though.

why wont they ever let Almora lead off? Will Fowler sign a 20million deal somewhere else and Almora get a shot or not?

Lackey needs to work. I wouldn't expect him to go very long though. He and Lester were supposedly the two guys most annoyed with the 6 man rotation.
