Butler's not on the active roster right? Anyone know why? I don't recall him being hurt and given he's made starts I'm not 100% sure why they wouldn't call him up in sept.

Cause it was more important to bring up a 5th catcher in Davis to sit on bench with the others that was brought up and not playing..

I seriously don't know why he not there..

Maddon would just stick with same guys anyways out of pen

Well my thought was more I'd rather Monty out of the pen and Butler starting games again than Monty starting. I feel like part of the pens demise came when he went into the rotation. Him in the pen is just a guy who can often give you several innings a night.

Plenty of reason to be unhappy today - but it doesn't count toward tomorrow.

I 100% agree with that...

Why I never warmed up to them going with Monty as a starter, i always preferred and felt he was more better and valuable in the pen...

Their getting annihilated today and so far still no pulse from bats

So yea .. I mean way to come into a big weekend series at home against 2nd place team and so far shit the bad..

Last I checked Butler was injured. They were babying Tseng the last month and spaced out his starts.

Jake was slated for missing 2 starts. Not sure on his eta
