Why i said to be cautious..
14 of 19 with Brewers and Cardinals wasn't going to be a cake walk and sure thing to win division even with 5 game lead..
Also why i got pissed losing to the reds pirates etc .. teams they should of handled easily
Those losses meant 1 more game the Brewers and Cardinals remained closer

Hadn't caught that. I didn't remember hearing anything about it but musta missed it. Tseng I get though as he's way over his previous career high in innings. I'm really not a fan of Grimm though. Feel like there's gotta be some better option for long relief.

Could of been addressed before deadline or even last month with waiver deals..
Didn't have to be a flashy guy, sure they could of found 1 or 2 guys for a PTBNL or low end minor leaguer

Pretty much agree. They look like a bunch of guys who have mailed it in.
As I said earlier, my suspicion is that since they won last year, they just really don't care whether they win or not this year. They've got a lifetime pass from most fans so it's whatever for them.

Considering I'm always the positive guy, I have to confess that today is the first day all season long that I've considered the possibility that this team might not make the playoffs. Not once had that crossed my mind before today.

My honest opinion is the team just needs a day off. Haven't had one since the 21st and have injuries to 2 position players(Russell/Contreras) and have dealt with some pitching injuries(lester/Arrieta) that have sort of snowballed on their bullpen. I get why some people think they don't have heart or w/e but my take is they are just worn down because we've seen them have nights where they just shell people. Bad teams don't really do that. Contreras is supposed to be back soon and they have a day off after this series. Hopefully that will give them a little life.

I'm not 100% gonna say they won't make it..
It just on paper you expect a whole lot more then the performance we see on a nightly basis..too much talent on this team for the inconsistencies...
Why it been frustrating..
Also..
It goes to the front office maybe not doing enough to address needs before deadline especially with bullpen ..
Wilson wasn't enough
Maddon with some of his lineup and bullpen decisions..
No.. we don't know what said behind the doors but damn it just don't seem like he getting these guys up and going for these games..
The players.... we're in September, you got a chance to do what very very few teams are able to do..
Win another division title and a shot at winning back to back WS..
How do you not get up and motivated for that every game..
where that fire in the belly being at home this weekend playing a division rival with a shot at taking them out of contention..
