Baez has maybe the quickest exchange from glove to hand in the game. Russell arm is significantly weaker. Baez throws about 96 mph.Russell has had right shoulder problems for the past two years and his arm has suffered from it.

Baez has quicker hands but a longer, slower throwing motion and gets himself in trouble with sloppy footwork. Russell has a faster, more compact throwing motion, has better footwork, is quicker to his feet, and has better judgment.

This is where it gets weird with Baez.

He is tied for the lead in DRS at 7.

But is not near to the leaders in UZR150.

Over all Nick Ahmed is the best in league over all. Over 20 UZR150. Compare to Baez 3.5.
