Last season, Cubs went 23 over .500 on September 8.

Shame Lackey didnt finish that inning. But, as of right now, Lackey ERA is 2.87. That puts all 5 of the Cubs starters with an ERA in the top 30 in all of the majors.

Arrieta: 1.56
Lester: 2.29
Lackey: 2.88
Hammel: 2.09
Hendricks: 2.84

That's an average of 2.33. The average ERA of the last 10 NL Cy Young winners is 2.36...

Also, I grew up in Woodstock where my dad trained me to be a Cubs fan. Since, I've lived in Michigan and now Wisconsin, but always stayed a Cubs fan.

He retired to Arizona in the late 90s, and somehow converted to being a Dbacks fan and I give him shit for that all the time. The Cubs have a .717 winning percentage compared to Arizona's .412...

Not really Greinke's problem that the staff is bad. Miller is the disappointment. Greinke's era has more to do with pitching in Azl vs LA. Dodgers park is a known pitching haven. Azl is a hitters park. Add to it the lack of humidity on the ball to a pitcher who depends on movement. It is to be expected

Yeah, I know. Point was Arizona went out and spent all that money and made that horrible Shelby Miller trade all because they thought they would be contending this year. They're not. He (my dad) should have stuck with the Cubs.
