They are swinging at every breaking ball
Past times? What 2 Mos agoHis OPS. Is about the same. He isn't just getting on base. He is the two hole because he has excelled there. The numbers show that. You seem stuck in past times.

2 hole.. 142 PA. 408 OBP. 913 Ops 6 HR 25 R 11RBI
3 hole.. 275 PA . 364 OBP. 928 Ops 18 HR 49 R 50 RBI
5 hole.. 45 PA . 378 OBP . 891 Ops 2 HR 8 R 7 RBI
Only thing that excelled is his OBP increase some
His power dropped, his RBI dropped tremendously
So he basically became a guy who was getting on base hitting homers and driving in runs
TO
A guy who just gets on base
I'd rather have the first guy

I was thinking something like this next year:
Zorbrist 2B
Contreras C
Rizzo 1B
Bryant RF
Schwarber LF
Baez 3B
Heyward CF
Russell SS
what Baez is doing is letting Theo off the hook with extending a more expensive Fowler or dealing out.
Almora would play CF vs LHP Bryant to LF and Heyward to RF. Thus opens Soler for trade.
This is the most likely scenario. As far as this year they will do what works. Losing Schwarber did mess with the line up dynamic.
Heyward with an absolute smash that is caught.
What not to understandNo, its pointless. You dont understand or dont want to try to understand.
