Lackey needs to calm down. Yea, thats a tough run to be charged to you but it happens. Plus side, his stuff looks good in the first.

I hope so. I do have micromanagement tendencies. After so many years in business I do have a tendency to get caught up in the details

But if you can't enjoy May, August, etc....what good does it do to enjoy only the day after a WS win?

Doubt they change things until next year
Then he better hope Zobrist Contreras Heyward picks up the slack of driving in those runs

Bryant is hitting and getting on base at his highest clip in the 2 hole. His OPS is about the same as it was in the 3 hole. I think a guy getting on at a .408 clip in the 2 hole is doing wonders for our lineup.
That great but their wasting all that because there Noone besides Rizzo driving him home...
Plus it only 30 pts better then it is in 5 hole..
It's not doing wonders, because their hitting with RISP is pretty bad after Rizzo

But

Point is, do they have Bryant and his potential 30 or 40 HR power (which power has gone down in 2 hole) to just get on base or drive in runs

I just read it not a big deal, they gave him extra time to report
Non issue.....

Dont think its a big deal, but when they are attempting to tip toe that line to keep their players without putting them on waivers, the league might have something to say. If they want to keep swapping players its fine, but they might have some trouble from the league or players association.

LaStella can play second and pinch hit all they want, but having him just takes time from Baez and Zobrist at second. I wont be upset if they need to release him, no doubt he is on waivers now anyway. They still want Soler back on the roster, so someone will have to go anyway.

I would think a higher AVG. and OBP. and almost the same .OPS means it is doing just fine. You are acting like its this monster difference in chances. Its not.

I'm acting like I'd rather have Bryant more in an RBI spot in lineup with all he brings, then sitting in 2 hole where he comes up with noone on base most of time...

It is a big difference if they bat him 5th with say Fowler Contreras Rizzo and Zobrist getting on ahead of him
Over
Fowler in first and then 8 hitter pitcher and Fowler afterwards

Again, you want him just getting on base and be left stranded most of time unless Rizzo drives him in

Or

Getting on base and driving in runs

Plus..
His AVG. May be up a bit but his HRs dropped considerably in 2 hole

Another ham n egger doing a Bob Gibson impersonation at Wrigley Field. I just find it hard to believe that this many mediocre pitchers can suddenly have this "great" stuff when facing the Cubs.

I agree. I've never been a big fan of Bryant in the two hole.

Yea

They got 4 off him in 1st inning of game in Miami with a Bryant Homer and Contreras 3 run Homer and then did nothing afterwards against him..

I joked before, teams facing them in playoffs should set their rotation up with RHers with 4 plus Era against them

Our offense is so bad today even our pitcher is hitting better than our entire line up.

Always amazes me and makes me chuckle when pitchers get solid hits off a guy and everyone else struggles

His OPS. Is about the same. He isn't just getting on base. He is the two hole because he has excelled there. The numbers show that. You seem stuck in past times.
