Watched both videos. 4 seem at 90 MPH. so he has lost 3 MPH off of last year. Which puts his 85 MPH change into jepordy as the speed difference is with in 5 MPH AB’s 8 MPH last year.

I was wondering why he has called off again and against n it is about velocity. His fastball is too strait. It doesn’t have the movement that Kyle has on his 2 seam so low as no that 3 mph is killing him.

Tseng is expendable. Alozay is not. For starters. Talent wise Alzolay is Major league quality. Tseng lacks a plus fastball. That has been his heel. Now he did better when it up ticked to 93 and he was able to locate it but it was playing off of it with his secondary that gave him last years success.

But I doubt that they would start Alozays clock regardless. Not for a single start. If it was extended it wouldn’t happen either. They normally have a plan that they don’t deviate from. If it wasn’t Tseng it would have been Mills or tonight’s starter at Iowa.
Thanks for clearing that up

Good job taking advantage and getting that second run.

Play aggressive like that. Nice to see.

I have no dispute with any of the three calls in mind, but this is the slowest strike calling crew in MLB.

Huh? They're saying the collision rule states that Caratini ought to have given the runner a lane to home plate?

Not when he has the ball, he oughtn't...

I loved that, Bryant grabbed Castro belly. I hope Castro retires a Cub. He would have been so much more effectve if he had players around him. Hendry took him out the minors way too soon. One of the best eye to ball hitter I have ever seen.

That rule is still misinterpreted by announcers all the time.

Fortunately, it is no longer the subject of review for every single play at the plate as it was initially.

Yep. When the ball beats the runner to the plate, you can have an old-fashioned collision if you want, even now. As long as the catcher has the ball and is blocking the plate, and as long as the runner doesn't have to move out of the basepath in order to collide with the catcher, then you can legally collide and try to knock the ball loose..

Glanville arguing that this violates the "unwritten" rules notwithstanding.

Jawing from Caratini was more for the double forearms to the chest....

Hmmm so Nelson Velazquez started tonight in South Bend. I was under the assumption the plan was for him to go to A-. Could just be an injury call up but I'm intrigued nonetheless. He's gone 1-3(2B) with a K so far.

James Paxton no hits the Blue Jays. He was throwing 100 MPH in the ninth.

In his prior start, he got a no decision after pitching 7, with 5 K's.

Nice week.
