I can't stand national TV announcers....I watch with the sound off, so I didn't hear that.

On a different note when did national broadcasts get so bad? The careful scripting of the storylines makes for announcers that talk over plays, praise players at inappropriate times and when the storyline flips, as it often does in baseball, these guys are lost. When Fowler went out and Almora came in they flat out admitted they hadn't prepared to talk about Almora. Baseball is an ever changing game of moments and doesn't lend itself well to scripting. Is it too much to ask for announcers to roll with the punches and describe what they're seeing as opposed to what they thought they'd see. Shit, at very least fake it.

We noticed that, too. They also weren't very quick with replay at important moments. Absolutely terrible broadcasting and they have the WS. Hopefully, they get better.

They won't. It's Fox...no one of any significance works for Fox. It's easier to either watch in silence or sync up with the radio call.

Good news for those wanting relief help.

Ex-NYM LHRP Jack Leathersich (July 2015 TJS) was unhittable in his one inning of work for the AZL Cubs, striking out the side (all three swinging).

He of the 15.2 k/9 rate in the minors and who also happens to pitch left handed. Probably wont see him before post all star break at the earliest but he could be an impact arm.

I didnt get to see the game last night, but wow. Baez was a human highlight reel last night at third and on the bases. Im glad people are seeing what I have saw from him since day 1. Man crush! <3

I don't think most ever thought he was "bad." I mean I was most likely the most vocal cynic but it was never a case of him lacking talent. Baez optimizes that toolsy player who may or may not put it all together when we were talking prospect days. If he did he was going to be one of the better players in the majors. If he didn't... well I've discussed that.

I suppose there were possibly others out there who weren't as even handed as I was with him but as I said back then my biggest problem was always that I didn't see him reaching star potential when he was striking out 30% of the time. He's got some work to do hitting wise but I'm far more excited about him now than I was then because he's working on those changes.

11 K so far. Hendricks really has amazing stuff for a 5th starter.
