Read something about this awhile ago. A lot of starters who convert to relieving struggle until they are fully used to it because many of them have 3 or 4 offerings and when you are used so sporadically it's hard to have a feel for all of them. Guys who are relievers by trade tend to have one or two dominant pitches they fully rely on. I can't say for certain but that looks like the case with Warren this year out of bullpen because he's got a 4.91 bb/9 on the season when his career marks are 3.11.

The problem during this slide is everytime they need the big hit or the big pitch. They dont get it.
