It's not the elbow. His conditioning is pitiful. Don't think I don't see you jumping rope before the games or sniffing smelling salts to get your energy up Jo. On top of that, he's playing tight because of the pressure he's feeling from his big contract extension. He needs to get his mind & his body right because right now he's virtually useless out on the floor.

OMER IS PLAYING WAY BETTER THAN NOAH RIGHT NOW.

8pts
14 rebounds
FIVE blocks

Omer might make his first career start against the Celtics on friday. Noah injured his left thumb, and could sit or play very limited minutes.

And the Noah bashers rejoice. Or fume...or find something else to complain about.

FirstTimer has probably passed out on the floor in disgust.

Something is clearly not right. First Noah hides his right thumb tear last year, brings it up late.
He ignores doctors orders, trainers and coaches laugh it off. Bends the pins in his BONE training.
Then he hides his foot problem in the middle of the season until it's too much.
In the offseason, France flagged him for his ankle, but let him play.

Now he hurt his left thumb and we find out late. Supposedly it happened in the last game, but something tells me that he hurt it before.

I love me some Jo... but this drive-hard, ignore pain mentality is really biting him and the team in the ass.

These are behavioral symptoms of someone that is addicted to pain killers.

Don't jump to conclusions about me jumping to conclusions. Concern and a conclusion .................................................. big gap there.

At last people are finally coming to the realization that Noah isn't as good as everyone thought he was. I've been saying this since the start of the season.

Noah is just a hustle player, he flops on the boards and is a liability on offense. Most nights he's being out rebounded by Boozer and Deng. I don't know what has happened to Noah but he just isn't that good.

So he's playing injured just to get painkillers? Jumping to conclusions indeed.

Clearly what Crystallas is trying to say is that Noah is playing through injury because he thinks he's helping the team but infact he is hurting it.

I expect Jo to get back but there is a quick shot of Noah I saw tonight that I didn't like at all. The trainer popped smelling salts under his nose during a timeout. Christ, hasn't he ever heard of 5-hr energy? He must've been hitting the bong hard all off-season. :smoke:

Gimme a break.

The Trainer pops smelling salts under Boozer's nose during every game, too. But Boozer's playing well...so that's not a bother. And I don't know about you; but when I played ball, it wasn't as easy as popping 5-hour energy. That shit will get you through a workshift, but not a 48 minute basketball game. Smelling salts are used in every sport. There's nothing alarming about Joakim using them.

There is no doubt about that. I more so wonder to the extent of his team oriented apathy, than I wonder about his physical health. Hard nosed players are short sighted sometimes.

I feel that it should be pointed out that despite Noah's lack luster play, among several other problems this season (Boozer being Boozer, injures, etc) we're still near the top of the league. We've got a 10-2 record right now with all this garbage going on that people are complaining about (and to a degree rightly so).

I won't speak for others that share my opinion, but I don't think you're really getting it. Yes, the Bulls are off to a fantastic start, there is no denying that. That doesn't mean complacency should breed. If I'm a little too harsh on Noah, then so be it. The Bulls are my #1 team in this city, and because of that, I hold them to a higher standard.

Noah isn't cutting it, he just isn't.

My standard is winning the title this year, as is probably everybody's. When you look at Noah this year, and look at what he did last year in the Miami series (I might argue the Atlanta series), I see no reason to believe that the ending to this season will be any different from last season.

Don't say that I'm not getting it. I know that the way Noah has played since the playoffs last year will not cut it. I'm not blind. I want a title for this team as much as anyone else and I know improvements need to be made if we're going to even sniff the Finals. However, instead of harping about all the crappy play, I prefer to enjoy the fact that my favorite team is winning games. During the regular season, I don't care if Deng is 5/21 as long as we win. Playoffs are a different story, and yes, Noah needs to get his act together by then if we're going to have a chance. The point that I'm trying to make is that we're still doing well even though we're playing like crap up to this point. Even Derrick Rose isn't doing as well as he can do right now. All I'm saying that if everyone plays as well as we know they can, we can make some noise in the playoffs and even win the title if all goes well. People will complain about Deng/Noah/Boozer not being good enough, but this team is what it is and we're going to have to deal with it for now.

Most big men in the NBA are overpaid. How much is Brenden Haywood making? Tyson Chandler? Nene? Noah got paid market value, which is overpaid, but it is what it is. And if we don't pay them that price, they go somewhere else, which might please you, but then we have no frontcourt at all.

both of whom are better than Jo........ I love Jo. BUT

When I heard he was the piece that the bulls didn't wanna give up to grab Melo, I was like this is typical paxson not wanting to give up players he's fallen in love with. I love Jo, but Melo is other worldly in terms of scoring and to have a slightly better Varejao not have him come to Chicago is stupid.

Also, when did Noah apparently become a top 50 player in the NBA I can understand 3 maybe. But Noah is no where near. He's a hustle, grit and glue. He can be replaced. People have just fallen in love with him.

When the simple fact of the matter is, he's a decent player who isn't very strong. He seems to be regressing offensively (if that was possible) and defensively. Lately its painfully obvious he can only guard mediocre to scrub level players???? WTF. Along with the still obvious fact that matter how much muscle and weight he put on, he's still weak. He doesn't carry weight in his ass. Therefore he still gets pushed around.

In my opinion you have to trade him while his value is still somewhat high. As he very well may have peaked with the talent and assets he has. He would be missed, but if it brought a talent player back whom can create for himself and take some pressure off Derrick, that would be ideal.

I've played ball for years. Never once have I needed smelling salts to get me up for a game. So gimme break. And the alarming part is that his conditioning is absolute shit. That's what that comment is was about.

Paxson falls in love with these guys and overpays them because they're his draft picks. Noah is the new Kirk Hinrich and Deng (who is my guy) got his contract extension for this reason. All my fellow Sox fans here should remember Ron Schueler; he was almost exactly the same way. The guy would never trade any of his prized draft pick prospects (though he did swing Mike Cameron for Bonerko, that was one of his very few good moves as Sox GM).

Brother...damn near the whole team does it. Including Rose. I have seen him do it on television myself. Maybe they had pregame naps or something, I don't know.

And with all due respect, what does YOUR basketball experiences have to do with the NBA? Lol...just had to ask...

The way our bigs are playing and that our two starters ride the pine in the 4th just shows me why this team cannot make the finals in their current state.
