This is getting out of control.... I don't understand what it is that you guys think we do that you want less of? Please explain it to me. We don't delete posts just because we don't like them. We don't ban people just because we don't like them, we don't really do anything! We are here to moderate, keep things active, post in threads to keep people talking. What the **** less could we do? Have we banned people,. yes, have we deleted posts, yes. But this is getting ridiculous, you all make it sound like we are policing every thread taking out stuff we don't like. It's pure bullshit, don't you think if that was the case we would have nuked the 3 threads about how shitty apparently IHN is? Again in 2.5 years 5 people have been banned. Last month, TOTAL there were about 50 messages that were removed, and the overwhelming majority of them were to clean up after the banned member, and you know what came in second place... DOUBLE POSTS... with about 4 or 5. You know how many were deleted in Dec. 35. And guess what, a lot of of them were by that same banned member. The rest, you guested it, double posts and posts by mods themselves. You want to know how many in Nov..... 3. Oct..... 2... Sept. 3.... see the trend here. Open you eyes and see what the common denominator here is. Do you think we like spending time cleaning up after a person who is here to disrupt the boards and elicit this exact kind of BS thread? No, and honestly we probably let it go on way too long and build up to this. But you know what, it had to be done, maybe everything will get back to normal now.

Perhaps Ton appoints a mod, and the people on the boards do the same.

Basically, give me a list of candidates.

I think with Ton as admin, this forum needs 3 moderators (meaning Ton is left to admin this site).



I want suggestions ASAP. If people don't like the way Supra, Mass or I conduct moderating, now is the time to be honest.

People see what they want at times.

I understand certain frustrations, but if you want 30 bots selling dick enlarging pills in Hawk Talk, illegal ticket scalping, the wrong posts in the wrong forums, trolling, I can do other things.

I do this because it's a good community with diverse opinions. Perhaps once a year it's nice to clean out the garage.

I cannot apologize if some one tells Tbird to go die, or TSD is an atheist, RK is too abrasive to some, I like posting about turds, or Maiden hates Barker. Those issues need to be resolved by the community at large. If it's the one thing I do hate, is having to lock a thread, delete a post (the one that Sonny posted was a doozie), or ban a member. We never want it to go that far. It's the price we as mods pay for trying to make it a forum so all of you have a say, even if it's off base.



I want this site to belong to everyone. I agree with Ton that overall it manages to police itself very well.

I'm open for some IHN change.

I don't have a problem. It was a generalization that less moderation and thicker skin would be my preference, much the way I prefer less government, less taxes and more wet sloppy blow jobs in my life. Nor do I have a problem with any mods/posters.

I agree on your "trolling" definition. Hell, Fluff may not have backed up his opinions with what anyone would consider fact, but that's the beauty of a message board IMO. Who the **** made me the collegiate paper writer where I have to back up everything I believe in with some form of concrete proof? With all the athiests and liberals on this board that would be just downright impossible. Conservatives who believe in God are a minority on this board and there have been a few who have simply stopped posting because of the backlash they get at the mere mention of a belief or opinion that goes against what the heathen society of today requires. I'm kinda 50/50. I understand that if a topic doesn't interest me, or I fear some backlash I will simply not read it or post on it.

First bold: Applies to me. I'm almost always at work when on the boards here and usually don't have time a long back and forth beating/arguement.



2nd bold: Same as above, I had no trouble disregarding Fluffle, I just read a different thread instead of getting wound up.

People want NHTA, but only if suits their disposition? I thought one of the better NHTA threads was the religion thread before that got nuked.

That argument would fail if all we posted about was how awesome Toews is in Hawk talk, or how much Detroit sucks in hockey talk, or Avatar is the greatest film since Citizen Kane.

NHTA runs the gamut of possibilities when it comes to topics, and I know some feel that their religion/politics are close to them. Fine. I think as adults we can find that happy medium. If you honestly judge me based on a post here in this forum because we differ on religion/politics/ Keith is better than Seabrook, then it's the poster who fails, not the site itself. You should know the responsibilities of what you say when you hit the reply button. If some one posts that they have the keys to the universe due to talking gnomes in their underwear, then we have an interesting thread-- and I'd hope for interesting responses.



The thread about sex toys is classic. No thread comes close to touching that one.

Supra, I like you and all, but if your comment in this thread earlier was serious (re: banning puckjim), that isn't very mod like. That ain't kosher, and is pretty much the heavy handed type of modding that some are bitching about.

He's broken no rules I know of. Even if I was to suggest banning him (I haven't), the rest of the mods would shoot it down pretty fast.



That's the advantage of having the mods we have.
