Also, I understand the sentiment about Caleb Williams vs. Justin Fields if the Bears have the #1 pick. I'm actually really conflicted about it. And it's not just Williams vs. Fields. It's Williams + a 2nd rounder for trading Fields vs. Fields + trading out of the #1 pick, getting more 1sts + a blue chip player about to enter his prime.

I feel like if you look at it like that, keeping Fields is definitely more appealing. But if you look at it like "Caleb Williams could be Patrick Mahomes good" then that's hard not to think about.

These next 4 games are huge. It's a shame we have Luke Getsy, though. :ROFLMAO: I'm fully expecting 1 or 2 fully clownshow gameplans for the next 4 games. Probably against Cleveland and Green Bay.

Or MAYBE….. the HITS philosophy preaches HUSTLE and the Bears are just REALLY GOOD and covering Justin’s balls!!! Ever think of that? Huh huh huh?
Josh Allen 56 lost 23

Fields 36 lost 11

Tua 28 lost 8

Hurts 35 lost 11

Mahomes 34 lost 12

Guess HITS is league wide

Hilarious. You get called out for not being able to read, and then immediately pivot to a strawman.
strawman? It's a dumb post. It's ok, it happens to the best of us.

"His legs aren't nearly as dynamic as they were a year ago. It seems like every team but DET has figured out how to limit that part of his game. His biggest run all season has been 29 yards. The passing numbers have improved a bit, but the explosiveness in the run game has dropped off."

Yes, because I view Williams as a better prospect with a much higher upside as a passer than Justin Fields. Also, it resets the quarterback clock and buys you more time to build a better roster around a young quarterback.

Obviously, there is risk involved, otherwise this wouldn't even be a conversation. If you think Fields still can be special, then you're probably going to want to keep him. I don't, but I think there is merit to the other side of the argument, even if I'm not fully on board with it.
They both are statistically similar with Caleb getting more passing attempts and having a worse W-L. So is the upside he'll lose more games than Fields going into his 3rd year as a pro?

Yes, a strawman. Immediately after I said this you responded by talking about his last game against DET, completely ignoring the fact that I specifically used DET as the exception. And instead of admitting you can't read, you pivot to showing me some stat that in no way relates to the argument I was originally making, which was that his rushing totals have fallen from where they were a year ago, which is a factual statement.

First off congratulations on realizing 21 comes after 20...well since it was a question maybe you don't realize that

Second, the QBR ratings are all of season starters other than Zach Wilson, Gardner Minshew and Josh Dobbs, if all three are removed and replaced with their starters QBR for the season Fields moves up 3 spots.

Sorry you are confused. And since no one has confirmed it for you yet, yes 21 does come after 20. Gold star for you today.
First of all, that's done for dummies slow on the uptake, like yourself.

Second, QBR ratings are stupid but when they favor Fields after this or that game, your ilk is quick to point it out so... here you go.

No they wouldn't, because 99% of suppprtive fans onn here don't brag about him like he is Tom Brady...the haters try to boost their idiotic bullshit, by one, acting if u like Fields, u think he is Tom Bradiy elite, or if they point out good things statistically that matter for other QBs in league, the haters run to QBR, or fumbles, and at the same time excuse other QBs who turn it over more.

Simple Fields is 24, improving and has huge upside if he gets there.....yet people acting like Nagy and a depleted roster for rebuild, in his 1st two years is all they need to see. Those same people can't even throw a football past 20 yards...but they know QB play at the highest level.
BS

The biggest problem for the Bears is they really needed Fields to show either they need to move on without question or he's the guy to stick with. His play had made it nebulous. Once again, really bad play with great bright spots. Which is the worst position for the Bears. Bc now they have to make a tough football decision. You know the idiots who are so inept they need to hire consultants for decisions they should be capable of.

I''m really wary of Caleb and would prefer if they'd avoid him. Fields hasn't been good enough to rule that out of the question. Which is a shame bc if it all clicked with him and he proved he's the guy they would be in a great position to bolster everything around him and have a good squad next season

Here is the Bayesian QB rankings through week 14 which calculates expected points per play.
Fields comes in at 20 in this one. its a pff article but rankings are not based off of the dreaded PFF grades.

Again, look at who is below Fields and see these are mostly not even starters. It's basically backups, and rookies. It's to say, if you're not in top 10 range, you're just bad at football.

I do. Fields says he doesn’t want to run, he has said it since the beginning of the season that’s why his numbers are down. His ints are down, his completion percentage is up, more accurate with his throws, leads WRs, throws with more anticipation etc
pretty sure he said the opposite when he threw Getsy under the bus for keeping him in the pocket and not letting him run early in the year and has sense had more designed runs after that.
