I’m talking about him just taking off and yes not utilizing his legs at all is stupid.pretty sure he said the opposite when he threw Getsy under the bus for keeping him in the pocket and not letting him run early in the year and has sense had more designed runs after that.
QBR isn’t a real stat so you wouldn’t see me in those conversations
apparently @dbldrew thinks he shouldn't be utilizing his legsI’m talking about him just taking off and yes not utilizing his legs at all is stupid.
It would have been better if Justin had solved the problem on his own starting in Week 1.Also, I understand the sentiment about Caleb Williams vs. Justin Fields if the Bears have the #1 pick. I'm actually really conflicted about it. And it's not just Williams vs. Fields. It's Williams + a 2nd rounder for trading Fields vs. Fields + trading out of the #1 pick, getting more 1sts + a blue chip player about to enter his prime.
I feel like if you look at it like that, keeping Fields is definitely more appealing. But if you look at it like "Caleb Williams could be Patrick Mahomes good" then that's hard not to think about.
These next 4 games are huge. It's a shame we have Luke Getsy, though. I'm fully expecting 1 or 2 fully clownshow gameplans for the next 4 games. Probably against Cleveland and Green Bay.
Which is again a stupid thought process. Fields isn’t just a QB, he is a weapon and playmaker. He scares defenders because he can take off and **** things up so to just limit what he does to “pure pocket passer” is dumbapparently @dbldrew thinks he shouldn't be utilizing his legs
I totally agree. But let's be honest about week 1's gameplan... But I digress. It would have been better if Justin had solved the problem on his own starting in Week 1.
To be clear, he's not a fan of the stat. He doesn't even who what the stat means. He just saw it and posted it. I'm convinced some of the stupidest people on planet Earth post right here on CCS.I think QBR is a silly, ESPN made up stat, but you’re a fan of it so…
Which is stupiderer a made up ranking system or the guy that can't count to 21 with his fingers and toes without "accidentally" caressing his dogs lower abdomen?First of all, that's done for dummies slow on the uptake, like yourself.
Second, QBR ratings are stupid but when they favor Fields after this or that game, your ilk is quick to point it out so... here you go.
Supporting the Bears is a complicated recreational activity to be sure.My heart is like that of a reed in a storm.
I read one post and it goes this way then i read another post and it goes that away...
I don't know what i want...
Only thing i know for sure is that next year we will all be bitching about something.
He might be 21st in QBR but he’s first in our hearts. Suck it looser. And this is what we want to invest in next year? He will end up somewhere around 17-21 when the year is over. This is smelling like Daniel Jones before his contract. It’s time to move on people. Fields would at best be top 15 next year. That’s just not good enough

How true.....Lies, damned lies, and statistics...
Even though he has improved, statistically, I don't think his ranking among quarterbacks has moved that much from where it was coming into the year, which was probably around the 20th best quarterback.
His legs aren't nearly as dynamic as they were a year ago. It seems like every team but DET has figured out how to limit that part of his game. His biggest run all season has been 29 yards. The passing numbers have improved a bit, but the explosiveness in the run game has dropped off.
I wanted to see a more noticeable step forward in his development, but I feel like we are still kind of in the same position we were this time a year ago. Overall, he's just too inconsistent for me to trust. If it weren't for the #1 pick, I'd give him another year, but Williams is just too good of a talent for me to pass up.
