Did the Hawks tell Kane to seek help?
If this article even holds an ounce of weight, perhaps it's time to "hang up" the bottle for the sake of his Blackhawk career. Hate to bump this topic but I thought this article was interesting.
My take on the Jahns article... but let's start with the sources.
A team source told the Sun-Times that some in the organization have suggested that Kane seek help.
“When is [Kane] going to learn?” another team source said.
My initial reaction is that this comes from from Hawks management. But then there's this...
“Other players look at how they handle a situation like this,” the source said.
It's possible that comes from a player...or management.
What I do believe is that Jahns, like all the local beat writers, does not have the balls to write this unless it's green lighted by the Hawks upper mangement, one way or another. Does that mean McDick is greasing the skids for Kane to be traded? Not necessarily. But their going to hold off on Patrick Kane bobblehead nights.
But it's still OK to have a Bobby Hull hold your ex-wife over a hotel balcony railing bobblehead night. Or a Bobby Hull assault your 2nd ex-wife in a Willowbrook parking lot bobblehead night.
If they are greasing the skids for a trade, my question is what's the return?
Edit: At the time Bobby Hull was assaulting wives, they were not ex's, but at the time current wives. I use this example to point out the utter hypocrisy that current Hawks management will use to market current and former players. I've always wondered why a single writer in Chicago has not questioned Hawks management about the use of this so called Ambasador. That's the perspective of a Father of two daughters.
