Sorry...None of those quotes show where I went on for 10 minutes about how the music I like is better than rap

and none of my posts made that claim. go to bed.

If theyre using electronic beats, it still follows the same form

4-4 is 4-4 no matter what source ya get it from ******

I was responding to this

Any skilled drummer can give ya 15 different beats in 20 minutes..It doesn't take much to get one

Which HHM can probably use the "It doesn't take much to get one" in his argument...

Here's my beef. Any time some pigfucking Special person person that thinks they know music starts to talk shit about music they don't understand, they always talk about how musicianship is somehow better through the mediums they are familiar with. They even go as far as saying a drum machine is only capable of so much as compared to a "skilled drummer" not even knowing what a drum machine is capable of. They don't even understand infinity. Like making claims that 4/4 is somehow straightforward and not still a time signature that can present challenges and opportunity for innovation. It's hilarious that a "musician" can see music as some sort of finite thing, just because they don't like "rap."

HHMs claim was that I went on for 10 pages about how the music I like is better than rap

I never said that, and we never went 10 pages

i made no claim. I'm just expecting you to go on for 10 pages until you feel you are right about this new argument you've got going here.

whatever dood. you don't like rap. we get it. and the statements you've made to support your reasons for not liking rap are all here in this thread. I'm just saying your statements are ignorant, and that's that.

So can't you just say you don't like rap and GTFO? Or do you have to go on for 10 more pages about how your music is somehow better than the music you don't like?

I actually never enjoyed hip hop at all until about 8 years ago. Never thought I would enjoy it because the stuff I was hearing was always gangster rap or bling bling shit and yah I just could never relate to that stuff and never liked it. My rap genre tastes are pretty white washed cracker shit I will admit. Guys like Aesop Rock (not to be confused with A$AP Rocky), P.O.S, Doomtree, EL P, Run The Jewels, Beastie Boys, etc etc. Most have a slight metal treble infusion less so "bitches and hoes, guns and respect" heavy bass hip hop.

Everyone has always told me to listen to Tupac and Biggie and that generation if I wanted to hear good hip hop/rap. Never could get into their styles and such even though in the world of hip hop they hold such high positions and influence. I feel the same way about guys like Kanye and Jay Z. Not the styles I like.

I'm big on 2Pac and Biggie, Eazy, NWA, Cube, etc. But I always get shit from people I know because I just don't really like Wu-Tang. They're good and all just not my style. I wouldn't change it if it was on the radio but I wouldn't go downloading their shit.
