At least I am not a scrawny little baby that cries about how other people look when I could literally just mind my own beeswax.

Well, stop judging me for judging people :bizarro:

It doesn't, until you start talking chit about non thin assholes. You do not need to apologize when you could just shut yer dum cuk mouf about anyone other than yourself!
It's not my problem that non thin assholes don't have discipline. #warriorspirit

Serious question. How does watching what I eat and working my ass of in the gym make me a "thin asshole"? I'm not going to apologize for work ethic and consistency.

It doesn't.

I have never equated being thin with being an asshole.

The asshole comment came from someone's posts. And was made partially in jest.

Ares has been kinda stagnant, but I think that is because of a few rough drinking weekends.

I also switched scales, and my new one is more consistent but also shows me like 2-3 lbs heavier and % body fat higher than my old scale.

I went to the Hawks game Friday and drank alot.... then Saturday I ordered Mexican food for dinner.

Back to the routine Sunday thru today... I am down like 12 lbs overall, but haven't dropped much in the last 2 weeks if at all.

Lost 10 pounds this month. Mostly just from eating 12-8 and walking a bit more.

I've learned much about ketosis and fasting and have seen many different studies, both pro and con. Having seen only positive results from both myself, I lean more to IF when it comes to weight control. Giving your body that larger window of time for the fat blocking insulin to return to base level and allow access to burning fat stores as well as healing the body in other ways. Given a chance to burn fat daily, it will not only stop accumulating but get less and less.

Far too long people have been misinformed. Eating several meals a day is NOT healthy or beneficial to the metabolism. It only gives your body cause to never access the fat you've already stored.

I get ya. Im fromt he South so we drink. I am more on a 90% healthy and 10% not healthy but still kinda healthy kick. Life is about give and take. Thats my theory.

My diet has been shit the past two weeks. Trying to get back on track this week. Summer is going to be tricky. I like to grill and drink beer on the deck and I'm a sucker for twice baked potatoes and pasta salad.

You grill meat and meat has no carbs. It's a good thing. Replace that beer with hard liquor. Pure alcohols like whiskey, vodka, brandy, gin, and tequila have zero carbs and will get you to your happy place faster.

Hard alcohol still hurts the process... alcohol is alot like sugar to your body, it will jump on it and burn it before anything else.

Someone need say it, your will power and resolve are for shit. Hey, it's alright, not everybody has the iron will of one like myself who was able to get the most out of keto and IF just because I am so hardcore. I must say it got even easier when I decided variety ain't all it was cooked up to be and began leaning heavier on the staples I like best. I also like the preparation easy as can be too. That way you don't feel the need to snack on crap when you can make something much better in a matter of 5 minutes.

Eating habits can be changed, you just need to find what you like that fall in the new acceptable range and lean on it while you find other stuff along the way. At this point, I wouldn't want to go back to heavy carb eating just cause I enjoy what I'm eating now more. Kinda miss PB & J sandwiches and have always allowed for some sweet potatoes along the way but other than that there's nothing I miss for the heavy carb world of eating.

For the GOT premiere, might just have a late dinner or might just snack on some of my fave, macadamia nuts. Will also have sugar free chocolate milk that tastes a lot like real chocolate milk. It's delicious. Just use some sugar free Hershey's syrup that comes sweetened with erythritol and some sugar free coconut, almond or flax milk. Lately been leaning more to a milk that is a combination of coconut and almond milk and comes sweetened with monk fruit. Another snack I might just go to is throwing some Broccoli in the microwave, add some butter and salt and enjoy.

I was surprised, a while ago, to come across a study that showed the best way to retain the nutrients in the veggies you cook is by microwaving them. Not only does that process retain more of the nutrients but it actually increases the bioavailability of the antioxidants and nutrients. Who'd have thunk it?

Also, adding more salt to your food could cut down on cravings for sugar. Salt has gotten a bad name in the past but you'd be worst off with too little than too much. Would also opt for a better form than regular table salt. Pink Himalayan, sea salt or real salt far better options. But the thing is, both keto and IF cause a depletion of sodium so you'd need more salt than usual. I forget the exact scientific explanation of it all but essentially a craving for salt, when depleted, could also be mistaken and even answered by more intake of sugar even though it was the salt your body was wanting and the salt would have negated much of the sugar cravings.
