Chris Haynes from csnnw...idk if you consider him realiable

From what I've read, McGraw has exaggerated a bit. LaMarcus wants to leave IF Portland doesn't have plans to add more big talent. He doesn't necessarily want to be moved no matter what but if Portland doesn't add more pieces, he would like to be moved and Chicago would be his #1 choice.

Also apparently the Bulls and Blazers met over a month ago and discussed a trade that would bring him here.

Not much of a source either, more like speculation based on rumors. I was hoping there was an interview somewhere from the horses mouth(and in this case it would have to be from LMA or within the Blazers administration because of tampering rules).

It's not going to happen.

But no I wouldn't give Noah for him anyways.

Several guys from the Oregonian live reported it. I guess LaMarcus chose not to renew any of his endorsements there which helps to back it up  It sounds like he wants to play for a contender that's also in a big market and out of those we'd be the best fit for him.

Aldridge isn't getting traded unless Portland gets an offer they deem fair. He's got two years remaining on his deal... so they aren't in a hurry to trade him. They've got a year and a half to do so.

The Trail Blazers are in no rush to trade Aldridge and won't do so unless the right deal presents itself. This is a situation that may remain fluid into this summer and next. But unless the Trail Blazers change their focus and accept either Carlos Boozer or Luol Deng - neither of whom has been discussed - it's a non-starter. Chicago Tribune

I think we have a very good shot at getting him.....it just won't be for awhile. They want a ransom and then some for him right now but that will come down when they have to move him if they want something. He will also be a FA when Boozer's deal is up.

I smell another do nothing off season for the Bulls chock will roster fills of scrubs and no movement on key players that need to be moved.

Because Nate, Kirk and Bellinelli were scrubs last year?

Nate was a surprise and wasn't even meant to get as much PT as he did.

Marco was good early and fizzled out by the end.

Kirk wasn't brought in to provide offense, so whatever you got from him was a bonus. He was just here as an experienced guard to run the offense and play solid defense. None of those guys are top level talents, just more filler.

Apparently the LaMarcus to Bulls talk is still on. Blazers want Noah in return and the Bulls are refusing(as I think they should) to give him up. Looks like the Bulls shot back an offer at the Trailblazers of a package of Deng and/or Boozer along with Jimmy Butler and the Charlotte pick.

And sources said the Bulls continue to rebuff attempts by the shared agency of Rose and LaMarcus Aldridge to bring the Trail Blazers’ All-Star forward to Chicago. Sources said the Bulls have been unwilling to discuss a deal of Joakim Noah and Jimmy Butler for Aldridge. Chicago Tribune

yeah, that'd be one step forward and two steps back.

this is interesting, though... IDK, it's just hard to see something getting done this offseason.

I don't really think Aldridge is a game changer. If the move involves giving up Noah or Deng and keeping Boozer the Bulls are probably worse. Boozer has to get moved if the Bulls bring in Aldridge. Honestly I think the Bulls should play the waiting game.

Aldridge is not a "super star" so you don't gut your team for him. If you can give up less and get better you do it. If not wait on him to try and force his own value down by getting closer to FA.

Even that trade would be stupid as hell, you don´t trade 3 starters for one! I mean, HELLO?!

Everyone seems to think the Bulls are more interested in the next offseason, not this one.

This is the perfect trade for the Bulls, imo. First, we won't trade our C and SF for LMA when we already have two high priced PF's on the team. It just doesn't make sense. Also, my understanding is that the trade was for Boozer OR Deng, plus Butler and a Bulls 1st rounder. Portland countered for Noah.

The trade we've all been looking for is here. The Bulls should trade Boozer AND Deng, plus whatever picks they want to get it done. This would be the perfect trade if you ask me.

Any trade involving Boozer and Deng for 1 player should not also cost any picks IMHO.

At some point in time, everyone has to look at dumping salary as value just like players are. Portland's one of the few teams that could take that salary. You want the Bulls to take that next step, well, here it is. We'd have enough money to sign a Josh Smith. We'd still have enough to bring in Mirotic, even if we had to dump Taj the following year. Could you imagine LMA, Smith and Noah in the frontcourt? I sure the **** can.

Plug in who you like then, my point remains. Smith, however, is a swing SF/PF who is a defensive player and cab create his shot pretty good. I'm also a fan of the lefties adding a different dimension to defend.
