Calling Carr arguably better than Stafford makes no sense

He has started 165 games for the Lions since being taken No. 1 overall in the 2009 draft, completing 62.6% of his passes for 45,109 yards, 282 touchdowns and 144 interceptions. He led 38 game-winning drives during his career and 31 fourth-quarter comebacks -- making him one of the better comeback quarterbacks in league history.

He's tied for eighth all time in game-winning drives and seventh in fourth-quarter comebacks.
How many pick sixes, ints and fumbles?

Lots of moving parts....I'll start with these

Jags Lawrence
Texans Fields

Jets Watson
Indy Stafford

In this scenario i could see Pace ending up with Darnold and selling him as the future (although I think their ideal target is Carr)
Darnold is not the future of the Bears or any team

It really feels we are not going to address the future of the QB position this offseason.

It feels like we are in “not Nick Foles” territory.

I actually think the Bears are going to trade significant assets to “get their guy” for a 2nd time. It will be Wilson.

It makes perfect sense if you actually watched them play last season instead of looking at career stats, especially considering that Stafford has been in the league 6 years longer than Carr.

We are going to lose it. We have the worst pick of anyone involved.
I'm fine with Darnold if we keep our 1st round pick for a OT. Darnold played well in the last 4 games. Lots of HOF QBs played bad as rookies on BAD teams. The Jets have no OL and no WRs. Darnold was rated higher than any QB in this draft other than Lawrence. There is a decent chance he turns into an above average QB. Much better arm than Trubisky. Not every rookie looks like Mahomes. He is the exception. You can count on 1 hand how many great QBs looked great as rookies. Especially if drafted by a horrible team. I like Darnold better than Jones or Lance. I like Tua better than Jones or Lance. Darnold may end up being better than Fields. Really like Wilson but don't see how we get high enough to draft him.

yep.
I think the top 4 qb's will go in the top 8 especially with the Lions now in the mix and there is almost no chance Pace can move up that far.
IMO, Pace will have to find the best vet QB he can before the draft and it won't be pretty. ex. Mariotta, Fitzmagic, Minshew...
At draft time, if he likes Jones enough he will probably have to trade up a bit to ensure that he gets him.
If that doesn't pan out, perhaps he trades down in the 1st or moves up in the 2nd to take Trask.
Everyone after Trask is garbage.

I think Stafford ends up in Indy. They have a team that can challenge for a title now. They should be willing to offer the most. Even if it is more than a 1st round pick. They have built a nice team. Wish we had built our team like theirs.

If the Bears trot out Jimmy G’s sorry ass I won’t bother watching. I’ll just stick to redzone maybe do fantasy football again.

My tickets will all be for sale to, I’ll be trying to scalp them for top dollar just to be spiteful to any idiot who wants to watch Jimmy G.
Bears going to have to do allot to get me to watch with pace and Naggy still around

If they trade anything for Jimmy G, I'll be joining @Rise with red zone/FF. Even if he is slightly better than Mitch, he can't stay on the field so it would be 50/50 Jimmy/Foles. I'd rather walk around bare barefoot in the snow and hit myself in the toe with a ball peen hammer than watch that shit.

Stafford to the Colts would make them a contender in the AFC.

I still think Mac Jones falls to the 2nd, bears trade up to get him.

The only one I am really confident in is that the Bears will have someone who is bad.
Well then that insures us getting Darnold. Fucking horrible. 10 times worse than Mitch.

I'd take Carr over Stafford. Just think there's more there.

Wilson will go to the Jets if they don't get Watson.
Unless they keep Darnold which is entirely possible. Get the feeling the Jets aren't interested in drafting the 2nd best QB prospect but would certainly entertain the possibility of a trade for Watson.

Man....Seeing some posters so confident about their opinions of other QBs after watching them live in complete denial about Mitch the past two seasons and thats a QB they actually watched.....
