It really feels we are not going to address the future of the QB position this offseason.

It feels like we are in “not Nick Foles” territory.
I haven't seen a single mock draft have the Bears take a QB in the first. It was O-Line in nearly all of them, a WR in one other.

For all the praise heaped on Mac Jones on this forum, most mock drafts don't even have the guy going in the first round.

I still think it's a fix the line and ride with Foles year. Not sure I can watch them tank on purpose like that, but I also think secretly Pace and Nagy are a lot more safe, for a lot longer, than most of us think. Sadly.

There are no guarantees at QB going forward other than what we have suck. Don't want to make a huge trade unless it is for Watson. I'm happy with Darnold or Tua. These were top QBs from the last couple of drafts. Keep most of our picks to fix the rest of the team.

Man....Seeing some posters so confident about their opinions of other QBs after watching them live in complete denial about Mitch the past two seasons and thats a QB they actually watched.....
I'm 100% sure whoever a new QB is, if they don't role with Foles, you'll bash them 24-7 as well. Hate is on your heart.

So, you end with this, while starting with they should give up all future picks for Watson. I'm confused.

• Pats: Jimmy G
• Jets: Fields
• Texans: Tua
• Fins: Watson
• Colts: Trey Lance(Trade up)
• Jags: Lawrence
• WFT: Mac Jones
• Bears: Darnold
• Lions: Carr
*Raiders: Stafford
• Saints: Winston/Trask
• 49ers: Wilson(Trade up)
Other than Jags getting Lawrence, impossible to call the rest. Could definitely see a team giving Trubisky a chance to start especially if they also draft a guy like Jones. WFT makes most sense there.
Jets new front runner for Watson and that puts Fields in position to go to Houston. Tua stays w/Dolphins.
Don't think Gruden would see Stafford as an improvement over Carr. Carr stays w/Raiders. Stafford to Denver.
Lance to Detroit. Could see Jimmy G going to Pats. Could also see Pats make a move for Carr or Ryan.

Rumor that if the Jets can't get Watson, they're listening to an offer to get Stafford. #7 and Stafford for #2.

Miami - #3 pick, #18 and some mid round pick to Houston for Watson

Houston - declines to take Tua in a trade, drafts Fields or Wilson

Miami sends Tua and a mid-round pick to the Bears for #20 and a 6th rounder

If they trade anything for Jimmy G, I'll be joining @Rise with red zone/FF. Even if he is slightly better than Mitch, he can't stay on the field so it would be 50/50 Jimmy/Foles. I'd rather walk around bare barefoot in the snow and hit myself in the toe with a ball peen hammer than watch that shit.

Stafford to the Colts would make them a contender in the AFC.

I still think Mac Jones falls to the 2nd, bears trade up to get him.
Jimmy G is almost certainly going to be released, he's got about $25mil in non-guaranteed money and it's tough to see anyone trading for him and then paying him $28mil for one year or extending him.

The only QB I think is worth spending multiple first round picks is Watson, but do not think this will happen. Don't want to spend 3 - 1st round picks moving up in the draft.

of his 144 career interceptions, 23 have been pick 6's, which I admit is very high, his fumble rate is fairly low

He also has thrown for over 4000 yards in 8 of his 12 seasons in the league, over 5000 in 2011, so I think some on here are being a tad harsh on the guy.

Jacksonville: Lawrence
Jets: Darnold
Lions: Wilson (trade up with Jets)
Miami: Watson
Houston: Fields (trade with Miami)
Atlanta: Ryan
Carolina: Lance
Cowboys: Dak
Patriots: Mac Jones/Trubisky
Raiders: Carr
Washington: Tua
49ers: Garoppolo
Colts: Stafford
Saints: Trask

The Bears are in a real difficult spot. The best they can do is try and move from 20 to 6 or 7 for Lance but it’s going to cost a lot of draft capital. He could be gone by 7 anyhow. I don’t think they can go into the season with Foles as the starter so they’re going to need a viable alternative on the roster. In a typical Bears move, I see them trading for Marcus Mariota.

That would set them back 5 years, so typical bears

Good to see you are okay with the Bears having a top 5 draft slot in 2022 and 2023 and not being able to up use them. Trading down is the best and smartest thing the Bears could do this draft. They may have to go with Foles as the starter he is signed and is cheap. Why trade for Mariota for one season....he isn’t the future by any stretch especially with this offensive line

I would take him for. A 2nd rd and maybe a 6th next year, throw in a mediocre player

Why would Houston draft a quarterback that is worse than the quarterback they have?
Why do we want a player another team doesn’t want?
