10. Torchwood - You mentioned watching Dr. Who and this was the spin-off from that show that follows the exploits of Captain Jack Harkness. It's a bit more mature and darker than Dr. Who and some of the later seasons are a miss but the first season or two was pretty good.

Just seeing this now. Season three of Torchwood was good. Didn't care for Miracle Day.

BTW, it's weird seeing Frobisher as the Twelfth Doctor now.

So far (only two episodes in), "The Flash" is showing promise.

Have been watching a couple new series:

Black Mirror

British show that is kind of like a twilight zone reboot. Except with a more scifi spin. Each episode is self contained and tells different story. A lot of them tend to examine the intersection of future tech, humanity, and culture. The shows tend to be pretty bleak. The acting is above average to very good imo, with shite performances or scenes very rare. The dialog is fine, nothing amazing, but natural. Characters are fine, but mostly server the theme/plot of the episode more than they drive the show. The future scenarios the writers explore are very interesting and very well thought out. Their scenarios are very plausible. Real good scifi imo, not ham fisted cowboys in space bullshit. Also, little sentimental cheese ala Dr. Who... er at least for a british show anyway.

Overall, I think it is a very good series, too bad so few episodes. And it is a bit dark, not the most uplifting shit. It is plot/theme driven show, but they are very well written and thought out imo.

Also, just finished watching the The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret.

This is another british show but with 2 american stars - David Cross and Will Arnet. I mostly really like those 2 guys.

Overall, the show is ok imo. Its a comedy, but I only laughed a lot during a couple episodes. The show is mostly absurdity comedy. Acting was mostly good, with some dips of not that good here and there. Story is basically a series of calamities initiated by 2 american morons in britain. The show is nothing great, but imo, its not dumb, its not a cop show, not a sitcom, and was plenty entertaining. So to me, it was worth a watch.

Some of my favorite shows the past few years that I don't think have been mentioned yet.\

Intruders (just 6 episodes) has probably been my favorite new show thus far. Not exactly the greatest writing or acting but the actual story is pretty interesting.

Intruders is awesome

I do like spy shit, a whole lot. As long as its close to real spy shit where its like spies dueling with trade craft like a chess match and not spies shooting at each other in the streets all the time.
