hmm didn't know that, thanks for clarifying.

Personally, I think it says a lot about Michael if he's gonna blow off playing with his own brother who's dream its been since a kid to play on the same team as his brother.. Kinda sad n disappointing if you ask me; I know if be hurt n pissed off my brother turned down a good offer to play professionally with me..

Like I said, def seems Martellus wants to play together more than michael

We got confused because of the McCown situation- by paying him vet minimum, the bears have to allow him to hit free agency.
The minimum salary guys are the only ones that rule applies to i guess.

The lying season refers to FA as well as the draft. There has been more bullshit written the last 2 days. About 20% is maybe true

Some agents are feeding writers a bunch of crap in order to help push up offers. The writers in many cases go along for the ride. #joke

It says he is an older brother and sentimentality won't get in the way of him making the best decision for himself. This shit aint the play ground, it's real life and if he cares about winning Super Bowls then Seattle is a better fit than the Bears. The only issue is how close Seattle gets to our deal.

Bennet is just trying to milk the Bears for more money, I wouldn't raise my offer for him. Lamarr Houston would be a nice plan B in my book and won't cost as much either.

Those might be the most accurate things Greg Gabriel has ever said.

The #Jets have released WR Santonio Holmes, the team announced. He had a $10.75M salary cap hit.

On Michael Bennett: He spent time in the Seahawks facility yesterday. Wants to return. SEA pushing hard. Bears turning attention elsewhere

From my understanding, the deal Michael Bennett is weighing from the #Seahawks averages $8M over four years. We’ll see if it’s enough.

At last check, the Bears were offering more. RT @OozeUzi: @RapSheet what are the Bears offering Bennett.

Bennett definitely leaning toward staying with the Seahawks

Seattle defensive end Michael Bennett apparently is choosing a potential Seahawks dynasty over his brother’s vision of a “Black Duck Dynasty.”

Per a league source, Bennett definitely is leaning toward staying with the Seahawks. A decision could be made later today.

At issue are salary and, presumably, anticipated playing time. While the Bears reportedly are offering $8.5 million per year and the Seahawks are offering $8 million, the Seahawks used him only 57 percent of the time in 2013. The Bears could want him on the field more frequently than that.

Bennett is the No. 2 free agent on PFT’s Hot 100 list. He could be off the market before it even opens.

I just hope we turn our attention to MJ93 quickly. Would suck to lose out on both.

The bolded part is a double edged sword.
If they want to use him on running and passing downs, there is a good possibility his sacks and QB hits could fall drastically as a result of wearing down.

I have seen people citing that number as a positive, and thinking his numbers would be better if he played full time.
I think it is equally possible that it could expose him as a lesser player.

Lamarr Houston as a 4-3 DE?
