Look, this Rose is shit and stupid and don't resign him if he can't bother to learn point guard from hinrich and hoiberg. But we can't trade him, and so he is our only hope. If Gasol sees the writing then this year is our only chance. He needs to fix his vision, get in explosive shape, start finishing, and stop shooting when he has a floor of pure shooters around him.

It isn't hopeless, and Rose is our only shot, even though right now the best basketball we have played was when he was out. We won't win without something resembling old Rose and so all out positive focus should be on getting through to him how bad he sucks and why he needs to change his game. Just maybe he can turn the switch in playoffs and win our hearts again with a passionate playoff run. It's with him or nothing and when gone we will have ALOT of cap and some pieces to build around.

Rose is the reason I lost interest, I get annoyed upon considering all of the talent the Bulls could have had w/o him. Dude has held up the franchise.

HOW DARE HE INDEED!

But at this point, the way he's playing, i don't know of many people, besides though on r/chicagobulls who still think he can be something. And most can't wait until he's gone.

You guys remember when Rose was better than Westbrook? Those were the days.

that ain't worth much...

It was worth a victory. Rose is still an above average point guard even with his vision issues. People are losing interest but those fair weatherers may get a little more into it if Rose's vision starts improving. Right now, the strongest part of his game is now a weak point, and he's still an average to above average NBA point guard.

Lol at Rose being an above average PG. Are you fucking kidding me? You're just as delusional as Rose is.

13 PPG
6 APG
.356 eFG%
.397 TS%
9.7 PER
-0.2 WS

What the **** planet is that above average? There's a legitimate argument that he's actually the worst starting PG in the league right now.

Which is an ironic criticism, when you factor in the complaints about Thibs trying so hard in the regular season.

theres a difference between relentless coaching from the off-season until the end, having guys ride bikes in film session, and never taking your foot off the gas than picking a handful of games where you actually look interested. its not ironic at all really

I'm guessing he's getting at the complete contrast of the two mentalities. Thibs trying hard all the time vs Rose trying hard like 5% of the time. Ironic since Rose did the opposite of what Thibs was doing.

That makes sense then.

You can name 10 starting point guards in the NBA now who are playing as bad if not worse than Rose. There's even more bench players at his position, obviously, than there are starters. And Rose is outplaying his match ups head to head almost every game. And he's helped the team to 11-5 while leading the team in minutes and assists.

Rose is above average player and point guard. Period.

Keep telling yourself that, Derrick.

Like the guy or not, Rose is still an above average point guard and will probably get better not worse. He definitely not a premium point guard at this moment in time, though. Trouble is that he certainly is not worth the bucks that they paid him and they are suffering under his contract. That is not anyone's fault, though.

The Bulls have a lot of decisions to make, certainly and the biggest decision will be what to do with Rose. Hopefully he will get his game back together and become at least an all-star. That certainly is on him this season to once again prove himself. That is where we will see the real make-up of the man. Will he bust his ass or not. I hate to say it but I do not think Rose has the "right stuff" to come all of the way back and that should include busting his ass defensively. I hope that I am wrong but if a guy doesn't play defense, he'd better be all world in the rest of his game.

There's a disconnect here....yes, Rose is an above average, probably top 5, PG. He just ain't playing like one right now, and that's very troubling.
