Do we get a pick on a trade? I thought it was only for losing a player to Free Agency.

no comp on a trade....Bennett was an issue for the team...retaining him was probably not an option anyway.

You don't care that we gave up a pro-bowler for peanuts?

Why?
For one he is no longer a pro bowler and two I don't have to hear that gay nickname anymore and three he's an asshole.

We weren't getting anything more for him. We got fair value for a player like him.

So you missed the years that he played at an all-pro level after hle left the Vikings. There's an argument that even 2005 was a upper tier year

No I think you missed my point. He did nothing after he left NE. The reason he was traded because of his diminished skills not because he imploded as was mentioned by another poster

I'm happy with the trade. It's certainly better than just cutting him.

The guy is a great player when his head is on straight. I'll miss the way he never went down after the first hit. He made DBs look like children trying to tackle him sometimes. Obviously we couldn't keep him if he wasn't buying into the team though. It's too bad.

He did have amazing feet and some amazing "wiggle." That said, I'm happy for him and I'm happy for the Bears.

He was traded cause he imploded...this was pretty common knowledge to everyone besides Brad Childress & Rick Spielman

LOL @ "top 5 TE" being traded for a 4th & a ham sandwich. You obviously give MB a higher street value than any NFL GM. I'm amazed Pace got anything to cut this albatross loose.

Actually, it was a "Top TE"AND a ham sandwich for a 4th.

why would pace cut him ? makes no sense with the leverage we had to trade him he could afford to let him sit a year behind Miller just to prove a point

Well we would save about $4mil by cutting him instead of sitting him.

He imploded as a member of the Patriots?

That was the point of the other poster.

Yes...Moss's unhappiness about his contract causes him to implode...this was par for the course
