How old was he when McCarthy left?! You know, the point when it became publicly known rodgers had disdain for McCarthy? Yet, you still think CW was influenced positively by this in favor of McCarthy?? Yeeeesh

And YOU were the one claiming it was some major influence. Now you’re saying it couldn’t influence him much since he was 5

Which is it?!
I did not say it was a major influence at all. I said it may be a plus. So sadly you struggle with English.
This might be your dumbest post, which is saying a lot. Rodgers' disdain for McCarthy is well-documented, and probably contributed to McCarthy being unable to land a HC gig right away after the Packers got rid of him. The only way for your post to make any sense is to conclude that Caleb Williams never aged past the point of being 5 years old, and he's remained 5 years old and is thus ignorant of documented history.

It would be like saying that since I wasn't born when George Washington was president, I am presently ignorant of George Washington.
“It’s probably normal in any relationship you have,” Rodgers told the media in 2022. “When you’re able to take time away and you have that separation, it’s natural to look back and have a greater sense of appreciation and gratitude and thankfulness for that time.”

I dont think a guy watching how well Rodgers played growing up cares that he and the OC didnt always get along especially when it is PUBLICLY known that Rodgers was very appreciative, grateful and thankful once he had time to reflect.

So it seems you guys are ignorant of documented history. McCarthy and Rodgers got over whatever beef you believe they had so doubt it is relevant at all.

lmao so you claim it MAY be a plus...how is his rodgers fandom a possible/might be plus with mccarthy when rodgers had great disdain for mccarthy??

your "point" is still making zero sense even in your "hypothetical"

so SAD you struggle with english AND hypotheticals!!

Rodgers doesnt have a great disdain for McCarthy. I quoted what Rodgers said.

“It’s probably normal in any relationship you have,” Rodgers told the media in 2022. “When you’re able to take time away and you have that separation, it’s natural to look back and have a greater sense of appreciation and gratitude and thankfulness for that time.”

McCarthy added at the time: "When I think of him, I think of the one-on-one conversations we used to have, especially in the younger days. And it always ended with a hug and, ‘I love ya.’ So that’s what I think about our relationship. I think he made me a much better coach."

Where does it say he has a great disdain for McCarthy? Those seem to be your words. Can you provide a direct quote from Rodgers like I did above?

Ok so you dont have any actual quotes from Rodgers. Got it. I am not telling myself anything. I accept what Rodgers actually said.

Further I am not saying they didnt have a falling out at one point. I am saying it is water under the bridge now. So if you are presuming Caleb knew about the falling out I can presume he knows about them making up and thus it is a moot point now.

yet, you were talking about how CW grew up watching those packer teams and being enamored by them THEN. quoting something from 2022 means you think CW was still a gushing fan boi or cared whilst playing college ball.

i dont need quotes from rodgers, it is a well known fact rodgers dislikes mccarthy as a coach. you even acknowledge this in your own post, dumb dumb.

your hypothetical about CW getting a small chubby at being coached by the same coach that coached Rodgers got blasted and shown to have the reverse effect if any effect at all. you know it and start going on some tangent trying to defend it still

this is wash, rinse, and repeat for you with the failings. just own one for 1 time in your miserable life. but we all know you wont

Lol nothing got blasted as you are not CW and you dont speak for him.

I said it may be a plus which by definition means it may not be. You guys are the only ones stupid enough to claim you know for sure.

I dont think CW cares about any alleged beef as even if one existed Rodgers says it is done. You are free to believe otherwise.

McCarthy was there and helped developed Rodgers so that is what I think CW would care about. Not behind the scenes gossip that again Rodgers said is water under the bridge.

If by any chance Bears hire McCarthy, who his DC would be?

What exactly has MCcarthy done to deserve this head coaching job?

The cow pokes have looked like absolute trash the last few years.

He barely squeaked past the Bears in 2010 to win his one super bowl with arguably a top five all time QB. He never got them back to the dance again through the peak of said QB's career.

I just don't see it.

I'm only going to post one story, because I don't want to post each and every story as it would overload the forum. Your posting continues to be terrible and illogical. This isn't breaking news. This was a big story at the time and contributed to McCarthy being unemployed after the Packers fired him.

The whole thing about Caleb being 5 years old is so laughable that I'm not even going to rehash that nonsense. What I will say is that its almost irrelevant that Rodgers "made up" with McCarthy in 2022...the fact remains that while they were HC/QB they had a very bad relationship. How is that a positive for McCarthy, regardless of whether or not Caleb idolized Aaron Rodgers (or if Caleb is indeed still 5 years old). Its like the same thing with your Brian Flores nonsense....documented toxic relationship with his QB and then you justify it by saying that Flores will probably have learned from his mistakes or some other jibberish.

None of what is in your report is from Rodgers and again it is water under the bridge. It doesnt matter how bad anonymous sources claim it was. The reality is McCarthy was instrumental in Rodgers development and Rodgers himself acknowledged that fact. This isnt breaking news. Rodgers spoke about publicly on record.

So if I am a kid that watched Rodgers excel for 10-11 years under McCarthy then that is what I care about. Not their supposed personal drama per anonymous sources. McCarthy helped Rodgers become the QB he became. The end.

So if the report is fabricated, then how could it also be water under the bridge? McCarthy's reputation took a hit to the degree that he was unemployed. Apparently the NFL 'people' thought enough of the reports to hesitate in hiring McCarthy. The supposed personal drama per anonymous sources was actually big news. The whole "helped Rodgers become the QB he became" is a pretty weak 'argument'.

And if you are a kid, how old are you? 5?

I didnt say it was fabricated. I said it didnt come from Rodgers. I accept what Rodgers says more than anonymous sources. So dont care about what allegedly happened as Rodgers and McCarthy moved on from it.

Mike McCarthy sat out one year and then got a job. Same as Vrabel and many other well respected coaches who nevertheless end up sitting out a year before getting another gig. So yeah no biggie.

Lol at your claim it is a weak argument when it is the only thing CW should care about. You want us to believe CW cares about what gossipy anonynmous sources said over the fact McCarthy helped Rodgers become a HoF QB. Absurd.

You are a couch potato so I am sure the soap opera appeals to you. I would hope all Caleb cares about is who can help him become the best QB he can be. McCarthy has proven he can do that with Rodgers and Dak.

When Mike McCarthy "sat out a year", he was one of 3 active coaches who had won super bowls. And he still couldn't find a job. That speaks volumes to me.

I have no idea what CW 'believes'. But I would guess that CW being enamored to work with McCarthy is only existent in your cluttered mind and nowhere else. He either has no opinion or a negative opinion if I had to guess. I don't see McCarthy's relationship with Aaron Rodgers as being a positive factor for his hiring.

Cool story. You are entitled to your beliefs. I disagree. I think CW would appreciate working with the guy that helped make his idol a HoF QB while they won a Super Bowl together.
