Rodgers' disdain for McCarthy is well-documented, and probably contributed to McCarthy being unable to land a HC gig right away after the Packers got rid of him. The only way for your post to make any sense is to conclude that Caleb Williams never aged past the point of being 5 years old, and he's remained 5 years old and is thus ignorant of documented history.

It would be like saying that since I wasn't born when George Washington was president, I am presently ignorant of George Washington.

Mike McCarthy sat out one year and then got a job. Same as Vrabel and many other well respected coaches who nevertheless end up sitting out a year before getting another gig. So yeah no biggie.
