If you play for Phoenix, I"m sure you don't have much left to begin with. haha And when and where do we get to see Ton run Pete? Should we sell tickets?
They are not supposed to have anything to do with this decision, it's entirely on the team doctor. Who was out on the ice, and did nothing but tell him when it was ok to get up because they sent Shaw off... (Yes I am exaggerating the last part for effect)
Some of you guys have some pretty huge balls...if we are to believe you of course.
I've got an idea: I'm 6'2" and 260lbs right now. I skate pretty fast for my size. Can we hit the rink and test out some of these theories? I'll be happy to play the role of Shaw and we'll see if you guys 'feel anything' when I hit you?
Fair enough?

I bet you flat out fall on your face before you grab it. I've been tagged you dont grab the injured area while falling you fall then grab the injured area.
I hope to be there. I was torn up about missing the last one, but we had somewhere to be.It will be during intermission of the next Skate game.
If I was a 6'4" and got hit by a 5'8" nat I would certainly have more pride than to imbellish the whole thing. My pride is worth more than a PP.
You're missing the boat. Of course the Doc has to come out there and no one is saying it wasn't a penalty. If he was truly hurt, he would have come off the ice, usually that's what happens when people stop the play for 5 minutes because they are "hurt" and need further attention.
Mike Smith = Boy who cried wolf.
So again, like I said, it's either he completely faked it, or he's being taken off and won't come back. Those are the only two possible outcomes that would have you believe one way or the other. Because he turned out okay can only mean he somehow faked the reaction from getting hit in the head with a shoulder. This is ridiculous. That's worse than Shanahan's logic.
Standard Katana or no-dachi sword?
Not only that, but he must be really unpopular in the room.
If I got popped like that, I'm pretty sure one of my teammates would have something to say about it....
your pride is worth more than a 5 minute PP in the Stanley Cup playoffs??
Good for you, Mike Smith's isn't.
Except that someone did go after Shaw. The ref escorted him to the box pretty quick.Hit the nail on the head.
Did he know it was going to be 5 min PP? Then how could he weigh that outcome in .7 seconds while falling to the ice after being hit in the head?
You guys really need to step away from the crack pipe and think realistically about what happened and not about what you would do in that situation.
There is no way he CHOSE to spin around in mid air and feel pain in his head/face/jaw/nose/teeth...whatever in a split seconds time.
Sure, when they see the hit coming (Kesler, ahem). But Smith didn't see that coming. No way.The same way Kesler, Sedins, Burrows and Luongo don't CHOOSE to feel pain and spin around until they fall to the ice in split seconds time?
