He said while adjusting his purse...

Watched Legion this weekend. Pass on this film. Waste of Bettany's talent.

They basically STOLE a good idea then pissed on it. I liked that movie better when it was called "the prophecy" and starred christopher walken as the angel of death, not to be judged by its lesser sequels.

The movie had a couple of actors before they were anybody, Viggo Mortensen played Lucifer, Adam Goldberg played Gabriel(walken)'s dead man servant.

If you have never seen the prophecy I reccomend it.

the premise is this, After lucifer was cast down to hell, eventually a second war broke out in heaven, Between Angels loyal to God led by the Archangel Michael against the "bad" angels led by the Archangel Gabriel who were all pissed off because God favors humans over the Angels.

The premise is, that unlike Angels Human's know how to wage war, and Gabriel is after the soul of some dead Korean war vet who was like a hardcore war criminal so that dude can lead his armies in battle.

While this heavenly war is going on, souls cant go to heaven, so they just sit their in the dead body until the gates of heaven re-open. The main character is a cop who used to be in the seminary and he gets embroiled in this whole mess.

if you can't appreciate good storytelling and acting, well just stick to "guy" movies.

The wife wanted to get caught up on the Harry Potter series so she can drag me to the new one coming out... they were better than I thought it would be, I won't put up much of a fight to see the last 2. I wouldn't go out of my way to see them, but I won't protest if I'm being dragged anyway.

LOL, they are coming out with a TRON movie... I mean really? Is there really some "deeper" story in the TRON video game that must warrant a movie?

I don't know, but the trailers look awesome and we get new Daft Punk music out of it. They scored the movie and a couple of the leaked songs sound amazing.

I partially watched the sequel to 30 days of night.

I didnt even know there was a sequel i was just browsing movies on PSN (my general order of operations when I want to watch a movie, check netflix instant play, check on demand, check PSN).

I fell asleep toward the end and it made me have the most fucked up and most vivid dream i have had in a long time.

Which was ultimately far more interesting than the movie.

And it's a sequel no less. not a remake. and headlining the debacle... why Jeff Bridges himself of course.

G4 debuted the first single/video/trailer from Daft Punk a few weeks ago. Didn't look unwatchable.

Kind of interesting what they did. They made a computer generated version of Jeff Bridges from the original Tron and animated him for this movie. Looks pretty damn good too.

Of course, the current Jeff Bridges is also in it.

Recently watched the movie "Lo" on Netflix streaming. The movie centers around a guy sitting in a protective circle talking to a demon who may or may not know the whereabouts of his girlfriend who was kidnapped and taken to hell. It was interesting and I didn't hate it (definitely got some points for originality) but despite this - I figured out where the plot was going about a quarter of the way in and was kind of waiting for the main character to catch up. If you were a fan of Buffy and Angel, this might appeal to you... in fact, had this movie had the budget of one of those shows, it probably would have been much better - if even just for the chance to get better actors.

I saw that many months ago. Was not a fan. Maybe with a better budget it would have been mediocre, but I doubt it.

I thought it was a pretty original plot line that had a lot of promise. Had it been re-worked by a good writer, it might not have been so obvious where they were going. At the very least, the "monster" make-up was top notch.

Just heard rumors about a re-boot to the Buffy: The Vampire Slayer movie. Really? Is that necessary? I realize Hollywood has been out of original ideas for years but... this just seems ridiculous. Apparently even Joss Whedon (one of the creative forces behind the movie AND TV show) thinks it's stupid.

I would agree that better writing was needed.

Saw "How to Train Your Dragon"

Fantastic movie. I highly recommend it. It's definitely not just for kids.

Also saw "Tyson"

Another good movie. Really does a decent job getting you a glimpse inside Tyson's head. The man definitely has problems, and it's not really surprising how his life ended up the way it did.

They could still use sarah michelle gellar for a buffy remake, haven't heard of her doing much of anything lately. I think the last thing I saw her in was a cameo in the grudge 2. that reminds me, i had a friend in highschool who had a disturbing shrine to her in his closet (his closet was literally wallpapered with pictures of her).

I occationally watched Buffy in highschool, I was an extreme nightowl around 2006 and was finishing up college and only had a class at like 3pm, and caught Angel on reruns 2 episodes in a row from 4-6 am. I watched the entire series, thought it was pretty decent.

I actually liked Angel a little more than Buffy - I own the entire series.

Brooding anti-hero vampire who has a PI Agency... I dug that.

I've been watching "The Unusuals" on Netflix streaming. The best way I can describe it is, NYPD Blue... with inentional humor. I've been enjoying it, mostly because if it's not dark humor, it's odd humor. Which is why I'm pretty sure it didn't survive on television. If you dig police serials with a humorous tint, it's worth checking out. There only like 11 episodes, too.

Is it bad that even though I actually freakin' own Highlander: Endgame on DVD that when I was casually changing channels on Sat. night I saw the beginning credits on WGN and got all excited and decided to watch it all edited and chopped up and WITH commercials like it was some sort of "Must See TV" event or something? I have ZERO idea why I do this from time to time as if I couldn't just get up off my ass and grab it off the damn shelf. WTF is up with that?

I have laid in bed, hit the PS3 button on the controller to turn it on without having to get up, turned on Netflix and WATCHED movies that I own and are less than 10 feet away.
