phranchk watches a whole lot of movies! I do too. Too many to even begin to talk about. If you have a question about a movie, ask.

You mean you can answer something other than porn movie questions?

I go through phases where I'll watch a whole bunch of movies in a short amount of time, and then I'll go several weeks with out getting any in.

Salt - one of the most unrealistic movies I've seen in quite some time.

Well for some of us, it's been years. Wait, that's not what he meant... ummmmmm... nevermind.

I caught the remake of Clash of the Titans yesterday. While it wasn't the horrible spectacle some reviewers lead me to believe it was, it wasn't necessarily the greatest movie either. If anything, I think it did a good job "modernizing" what Harryhausen did with special effects in his day. I wouldn't recommend against it, especially if you're a fan of Greek Mythology or the original.

That's exactly how I am, seems like i've seen so many things that I've had to start skipping a lot of movies because they are just re-treads, so I have to let the good ones that I like build up and then I watch them all at once. Seems like my que grows and shinks anywhere form 80-60 movies at a time.

Now, having said that, I'd like to totally contradict myself. Watched the A-team this weekend, I though it was actually pretty good. not like a personal favorite, but the wife and I both liked it and I was glad to waste the time watching it.

Thanks, I was gonna give it a try because I thought it might be creative enough to be a different type of movie. But it also looked so horrible that I didn't think I wanted to waste my time. Megan Fox is worth looking at, but not worth forcing yourself to watch her act. I'll stick to GIS if I want to see her.

Guess I'll be passing on this one.

Some adaptations of comics work. This one didn't.

Recently saw The Last Exorcism, Devil, and Buried.....The Last exorcism wasn't terrible but it started off really slow with the documentary style it uses but i didn't hate it. The girl that gets possessed has some pretty good creepy moments. I was all excited to see Devil i thought the previews looked good but now that i've seen it i think its just OK. Although not bad being an M. Night Shyamalan movie. And most recently i saw Buried with Ryan Reynolds in which he is buried in a coffin the whole time and the whole movie is him in this coffin, i got bored quite a few times watching it and then i thought he was gonna get rescued and SPOILER ALERT he doesnt. lol i wasnt a big fan of it.

Didn't like it I take it?

Ha... I guess that sounded really harsh. It was still entertaining and I like Angelina Jolie. The level of suspension of disbelief required to watch it detracted from what could have been, IMO, a grittier, more realistic depiction of a female spy (which I think would be an interesting and refreshing take for the genre). They played with it a little bit, but the potential for much more was there.

Watched "Knucklehead" on Netflix streaming last night. This is the latest WWE produced movie and a comedy for a change. It stars wrestler, Paul "The Big Show" Wight, Melora Hardin (Jan from the Office) and Mark Feuerstein (the dude from Royal Pains). More than me not actually believing the amount of regular tv personalities they had in this (Wendy Malick, Dennis Farina and Will Patton show up as well), I was surprised at how not bad I thought this was. Was it a little stupid? Sure. But I honestly think this is the best of the WWE produced movies so far and it's not like that's saying much, but I definitely think it fits the "showiness" of sports entertainment. If you have kids or were into professional wrestling at all, there are worse ways to waste an hour and a half.

Finally saw Inception last night.

Fantastic. Definitely will have to watch it again to pick up all the subtle things that are in each layer of the movie.

Watched the social network tonight. Seriously, these guys that just bust out these amazing things in their early 20's astonish me. I can code just about anything anybody would want but lack the imagination and drive to come up with something really great. (yes its sad, in those scenes where hes talking alot of nerdspeak i know exactly what hes talking about).

I've always wanted to develop a game kind of like Goal Line Blitz, but with a hockey theme, I have plenty of ideas on how to get it to work, just don't know shit about coding.

I dont really know shit about coding games, to a point. I can take an already created game and learn the language and mod it, most games are made using custom languages. Business apps/web shit on the other hand I can code the shit out of.
