Watched a documentary called, "Monica and David" about a married down-syndrome couple. Pretty good and "cute" sometimes, and you feel for the parents who, as the two get older, really start to worry what will happen to the couple after they are gone. The underlying "message" was how there aren't enough programs out there for helping the developmentally disabled find jobs and be more "productive" in this country and just how poorly funded the ones that do exist are.
Also caught Kevin Smith's latest Q&A/stand-up session - Too Fat for Forty. Hilarious as always and had to have been much longer as after an hour and a half he's only answered 1 question from the audience. Good stuff.
I also finished watching the first season of The Larry Sanders Show which I REALLY wish I would have caught first run. Big fan of the dry humor.
Do they show and or talk about them doing it? If not I'll pass.
As for Kevin Smith, i always get a kick out of him talking, hes such a witty guy its amazing to think he was at one time a 23 year old convenience store clerk with a nowhere life ahead of him.
Watched "The Limey" last night. It was rated quite highly by Netflix users and appeared on my recommended list for gritty crime dramas. I think all the timeline jumps ruined the story they were trying to tell. Sometimes that works well in a film, sometimes it justs make it wearisome to try and develop the plot/characters. Still worth a netflix if you haven't seen it. Basic story: Terance Stamp plays tuff Brit ex-con searching for answers and vengeance in regards to the death of his daughter.
I'm also really enjoying "The Pacific". Watched episodes 5 & 6 last night.

True Grit was great.
what do you think of it in comparison to band of brothers? I thought the character development was lacking in comparison to BoB. Still good, but I really didnt get attached to the characters as much.
Although, i am really beginning to grow weary of WW2 in general. Since saving private Ryan came out its just been a barrage coupled with the video game industry up until recent history they've been putting the WW2 genre to bed.
I would really cream my pants for a really good, modern WW1 film. All Quiet on the western front is like all we really have, gallipoli wasnt too bad but again, were talking like 20 year old + movies. No, i am not counting "Fly Boys" With james Franco, i said good movies.
