Has anyone seen Burlesque? I got it the other day and have just not had time to watch it. Just wondering if it is worth my effort to try to squeeze it into my busy schedule.

Damn, must have wandered into the wrong thread then. I thought this was the Movie thread, where you discuss films you ve seen and your views and opinions on them and how they made you feel. Feel free to disagree with anything but don't be surprised when discussing documentaries about the military that you get people's views and feelings about.............take a guess......... the military, which is the entire point of those films to begin with. To promote discussion. Like say in a message board with a movie thread. Who woulda thunk it right?

You know what you stupid shit, it's because of people like me, my father, several of my uncles, my cousin (and his wife till she was put in a wheelchair, off duty on thier honeymoon), both my grandfathers, and every other person that has ever served and is serving that you have the right to spew such Special person shit. It's people like you that make me sick, holier then thou, silver spoon in hand. You make your world opinion off of what you watch in movies, instead of getting out there and actually seeing what is going on in the world, and have no fuking clue of what you are talking about. Have you ever been anywhere outside of this country? Not to the little tourist cities, but to any of the places shown in these movies? No, you just sit there and live off of your great great grandpa or great grandpa's money, with your tin foil hat on, while those of us that think we should give back to a country that has provided for us and ours, serve (or served) and give back to our country, and hopefully provide others out there with a chance, however slight, of some of the freedoms that they are entitled to, that we get everyday.

Sometimes films make us discuss volatile issues. If this one goes on for pages with people waving their respective opinion banners, please create a new thread dedicated to the subject at hand (that's why our amazing forums have NHTA). That way this one continues to be about movies we've seen (or want to see), and a further discussion can be focused on one film in another thread.

I ended up turning on Too Big to Fail in the middle last night on HBO (more or less background noise as I was finishing up returning from class).

Anyone seen this? Should I partake in 2 hours of this film?

I'd be curious about this as well... can't believe how many big name actors they got for a cable movie (Although admittedly a "premium" cable channel). I'll probably end up DVR'ing it and forgetting about it for a few months before I watch it.



As a huge Green Lantern fan, I'm looking forward to seeing the movie, but at this point I have a feeling there will be no middle ground: it'll either really suck or be fantastic... unlike other fanboys however, I'm going to reserve judgement until after I've viewed it.

It's too bad that most of you have never had to live under different governments , you would really understand how great a country we live in.

We had 2 yesterday, my nephew graduated from 6th grade, my son graduated from kindergarten. When did schools decide it was a good idea to celebrate every year with a graduation????
