No, no, no, no, no, no people! To my way of thinking being a geek about something just means you really, really love it and are interested in it in all ways. It's like *extreme love*. . .but ultimately harmless and doesn't necessarily define you wholly, only in part. You just jones on something. Nerdism has larger implications in my book---like being awkward, perhaps being out of touch, maybe even oblivious to many other things. It isn't necessarily tethered to the love of a *thing*. Like, one can be a geek about something and still be cool whereas I never think of a nerd as being cool.Two totally different ways of being from my perspective. You wanna call that denial then so be it suckahs! {{{sticks tongue out and fingers in ears and thinks, "Na-na-na-na-na. I can't hear you."}}}
Ymono, one can so not have a badass shoe collection and be called a shoe nerd---shoe geek, shoe jones? Yes. But nerd? Just. No.
But back on topic. Ahhh. . .Vampire Hunter D and Fist of the North Star (the film). . .good times. Own them both but haven't looked at either in ages and ages. Mine are so old they are just standard dvd formats---I never double or triple-dipped on them and upgraded.
Theres like a bunch of Vampire Hunter D Novels, although I dont think any are translated to english. I have a collection of anime but seriously I think its been 10 years since Ive watched any of them.
