"Multi-Day Dangerous, Destructive Winter Storm"

I'm off tomorrow. To everybody who has to get out on the roads tonight or tomorrow, please be safe. It looks terrible out there and everything I've heard and seen on the news supports that.

Does anyone else hope it just keeps snowing?

In a way, yes. Mostly because it's so surreal to look out the window for hours and hours straight and see nothing but snow everywhere and blowing all over the place. But I've heard that people have been stranded on Lake Shore Drive for about 5 hours. Once those people all make it home safe, then I'm all for it snowing like this for as long as it wants.

I wish it would last until about noon friday, so I can stay home the rest of the week and the roads will be clear to go out this weekend.

So in that, there's no regard to those people stranded. Moreover, if you're going to think of them, what about the countless homeless people out there? Forget them, that's my storm out there, I want it to keep growing.

If you are one of those waiting until tomorrow to snow blow I hope you have a very good snow blower. 3-4ft in some places and I'd say at least 17-20 inches in the lowest spots.

I actually passed on a house up here in favor of the apartment that I'm in for this reason. Sure the house would have been bigger and actually a little cheaper but I don't have to shovel/snowblow if I have an apartment.



Hope you guys are enjoying your taste of winter cause knowing Chicago it will be 40 next week and all that stuff will melt. I've got another two months of this shit.

We had a hard freeze last night and are expecting real winter weather and preciptation over the next 72 hours in South Texas (I live on the Gulf Coast near Copus Christi). May even get accumulated snow on Friday Morning. A snow day in South Texas? There are rolling black outs all over Texas so they can funnel electricity to the North of the State that got hit the worst by these storms. My home is currently with out electricity this morning.

Living with the gparents has it's advantages. I was asleep while the landscaping guys did the driveway this morning, took them 2 1/2 hours.



I've told my gramps to cancel the service as I would do it, but he doesn't want to go out and purchase a lawn mower and snow blower and keep up the maintenance.
