"Multi-Day Dangerous, Destructive Winter Storm"

They just did a "live from" St. Louis on the weather channel and within 25 miles of downtown St. Louis they're pretty much in the clear and only got a dusting of sleet.

Don't all those hillbillys have pick up trucks with Confederate flag logos all over them to get around in?

Ask TSD or Pete. Petes down there I think.

Plenty of snow a little NW of you!

Yeah we got some snow but Billings always dodges the bad stuff. Luckily.

In 03 I went to a game in the middle of a snow storm, there was like 300 people there max.

Yea we've had a few up here like that. Some where it was even snowing outside. ZING!

Butte goes down to like -40 Doesn't it? Libby has some but not like what we are getting.

Yeah. I have family over there but I never go see them in the winter. Really cold and they get tons of snow.

Um, ya, so Mr. Finlandia...I just SKATED to my mailbox...no fucking joke whatsoever. My mailbox has a solid 3/4 of an inch of ice on it. The road has the same plus about an inch or two of sleet/near-ice on top of the solid ice base layer. We aren't going anywhere, which means Lambert Air Port is shut down so the Avs didn't even get here, and the Blues are being responsible anyways and not asking 20,000 people to risk life and limb to drive to a hockey game.

For the record, I am in Belleville, IL which is 15 miles southeast of downtown St. Louis. Everything NW of the city got some snow and is about to get ice like we have. And the ice here is far from over. I expect even more on the ground tomorrow AM.

The guy was standing right near the Arch and downtown St Louis got very little sleet... they were saying 25 miles west was all good then it was just going to be feet of snow. But St Louis was in a "dry pocket". I guess if its bad that close then it makes sense to shut down the game.\

Maybe the guy was really in a studio next to a green screen...just saying, lol. I can assure you there is plenty of ice all over town. Proof: they shut down a DoD facility that seats 6,000 workers who do a VERY important job

Got a recorded call from mayor of aurora urging people to stay off the streets as Aurora is expecting "minimum of 20 inches".

I'd rather hike right now the 15 miles to my work, then even attempt to drive my manual Nissan in this kind of weather.

Actually, I think I'm gonna start walking now.

Aurora too.... this is nuts.

Just hit me as well.

I have a 2 foot high snow drift blocking my garage. No way am I going to be able to shovel that shit out in time for work, let alone get on any major road.

i seriously doubt i'll be getting anyone swinging by for an apartment tour.. so i'll probably only do an hour or so here and there throughout the day.
