Nady has been better lately though, still prefer Dunn.

If its Dunn or Nady, then yeah it has to be Dunn (pending price).

I don't really want either. I love me some Dunn as a hitter, but his glove is just so bad, and I don't know how well he will age.

I prefer Pena over both. I think he will be much cheaper than Dunn, and much more valuable than Nady.

Pena doesn't hit for much average, but either does Dunn... but still...

Pena won't him for a good average but plays pretty good D and has power. Yeah, I would take Pena over both too. Pena might sign a 2 year contract worth 8M, with a TO worth 10M. I don't want a contract like this but it's fine and not too high. But, is this a good price? IDK.

8 Million TOTAL over two years? Or do you mean per year?

Make up your mind man...

And quite honestly, I can see a 2006-2007 offseason with Dunn being the Soriano... or the Fukudome of the 2008-2009 offseason... but not being a fail.

If Dunn is going to be the Soriano...I will kill someone because that will be a joke and JH should be fired on the spot. Also, Dunn is almost the same age as Soriano when he signed that big ass contract, oh shit....

Soriano isn't that bad, he simply doesn't walk though, and his D has improved. Dunn is somewhat similar in those two senses, but he DOES walk, which is the key difference.

Do you think that could be reasonable deal for him and do you think he could get more?

Might be able to get more... What teams currently have holes to fill at 1B?

Soriano has not been bad, but 8 years at 136M is way too much still. Soriano's D has improved because that hop is gone.

I know the contract is too big, but I don't think they'll make that kind of contract for Dunn. Sori has the largest contract in TEAM History.

Texas, the Rays will but won't sign Pena because of money, Cubs, Giants, maybe WS, maybe Nats, Seattle.

I see Texas, Cubs, Giants the teams in play for Dunn or Pena the hardest.

I don't see the WS losing Konerko.

I don't see the Nats going after Pena, but they still want Dunn.

I don't see Seattle offering another big contract like last offseason.

Yeah, they won't because everything signing will have to go thru Rickett and he will decline it for sure.

The Mats? does that mean Mets or Nats?

I think he will go for less than 2 years 16 million.

But thats about the deal I expect him to get. I was thinking 2/14 or so, but 2/16 might work.

Regardless he will give nearly the production Dunn will for half the price.

Pena is a 2.5-4 win guy. Dunn is a 3-4.5 win guy.

I edited it before you posted this.

ok, the rumors are that Dunn will walk if they don't get an extension done before he hits FA, and Nats sources say they are doubtful that one gets done. If he hits FA, the Cubs have already been marked as front-runners.
