whats his track record of success.....just curious

Philadelphia Eagles (2008–2009)
Coaching intern
Philadelphia Eagles (2010)
Coaches' assistant
Philadelphia Eagles (2011−2012)
Offensive quality control coach
Kansas City Chiefs (2013–2015)
Quarterbacks coach
Kansas City Chiefs (2016–2017)
Offensive coordinator

It’s limited but so was Sean McVays

- As QB coach Alex Smith made two pro bowls and the best stretch of his career.
- In the 5 games, that Nags got the playbook, KC offense was rolling
- He knows how to use a TE and RB in the offensive scene.
- His play calling has a lot of RPOs, which will be of great use with TRUs skill set.
- He’s a young guy who hopefully will be innovative and aspiring to the players.
- Andy Reid coaching tree.

- Oh, and he wants Fangio to stay on his staff.

so you feel he was the most qualified coach vs the rest. Should we have interviewed others. McVay is not the norm.

Everything. Her knows more about offense, defense and special teams. Knows more about winning and less about choking.

What do you base this on?

Neither is Doug Pederson...but he and Nagy worked together and had success. Nagy continued to have success.

I thought Pace would go after the Reid coaching tree...they are in hot commodity these days

I like Shaw who has been successful at a "academic" school

He was intriguing...been a while since one has been successful.

Was Harbaugh the last one to take a team to the SB? I don't count Carroll since he had a long tenure in the NFL before he went to USC

Looks like he had nothing to do with destroying the Broncos.

“The rest” didn’t have a overwhelming resume either. I think Pace went and got the guy he thinks will complete his rebuild.

I believe he made the right choice. We have to believe he made the right choice

Bear Down!!!

Most of you said the same thing when I disapproved of the Fox hiring. You people will never learn.

I think most agreed...he'd never get the Bears to the Super Bowl

Pessimistic people can usually claim to be right after the fact, because most people fail at most things and predicting failure is always a safe bet. But it sure is a shitty way to go through life.

The mid-season lull by the Chiefs has me a little worried about Nagy. That said, i love the way he used Hunt, so I think he'll put Howard/Cohen to great use. I do love that Pace didn't give any else a chance to get his guy. Really like the aggressiveness here. My biggest gripe, and one reason why Nagy wasn't one of my favorites, is who has he developed? Smith started to turn the corner with Harbaugh. Just not wowing me with the resume. I'm cautiously optimistic.

the mid season lull was due to reid talking more control of the game planning compared to earlier in the season, and its why reid decided to then hand full control of the O to nagy. which was the first time reid has ever done that in his career. that says something.
