How the hell are the Mets even above .500? They've looked atrocious.

Why its a marathon and not a sprint

162 game season will show what teams are good or not. Any team can play over there heads for 2 months

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
I actually watched most of the game last night....first time in a few years for that. Got caught up in the hype. I came away impressed and not only for his bat. A few plays in the field he made look real easy, in reality are tough plays particularly when you're trying your best to show your talent. The Cubs just might have a player this time.

He's known to be an above average defender at 1B, so we have to feel better than have LaHair/Baker over there. Especially when Matt Garza throws the ball to 1B.

Waldo has it right. I don't know what he is going to hit for certain at the major league level, but I am certain of 3 things:
1) He will play good defense
2) He will take a lot of pitches
3) He can pull the ball a long way

Rizzo 1B

Soriano LF

Baker RF

Soto C

Barney 2B

Valbuena 3B

Samardzija P

WTF is Mather doing leading off? Why isnt Reed in CF leading off with Mather at 3B? Dont get this lineup at all.

Scouts all over the place rave about his defense. Some have made direct comparisons to a young A-Gon in terms of potential both with the bat and the glove. I've watched a lot of his games with Iowa this year. He's made some defensive mistakes, but he is very good there... and has the makings of a GGer.

Yeah, I don't like this lineup either. Maybe Johnson is having back issues today? With this personnel in the lineup, I'd rather see Barney leading off. Barney, Castro, Rizzo, Soriano, Soto, Mather, Valbeuna, Baker. Of course, I'd rather see Mather in RF with Johnson in CF... and Baker on the waiver wire.

He did dive over that one hard hit grounder that he probably could've gotten to with a slide or just a quick lunge, and I thought people gave him a bit too much crap for that. Otherwise he made it look easy.

HAPPY RIZZO DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I so wish Marmol would get back to where he was 2 years ago... Of course I'm not expecting it, but it would make things so much better and easier in terms of moving forward from here.

Seriously who cares who is batting where when half of the lineup probably won't be on the roster next season? Rizzo and Castro are hitting where they are supposed to be, and the rest who gives a ****.
